Just seen this available for a penny below three hundred quid, anybody got any information on it yet? Can't seem to find a solid review.

Looks like the PCB is black too, yummy.

According to sapphiretech.com the PCB is 7970-class design for better overclocking, however is this just fancy wording I wonder?

Sapphire HD 7950 OC 950MHz Edition.

i'm sure this is the one ttl reviewed a while back when he tested a batch of 7950's?

That was the 7950 OC edition, this is a seperate sapphire product tagged as the, well at the title says... Sapphire HD 7950 OC 950MHz Edition.

Stating the obvious, it comes pre-clocked at 950, and apparently has a PCB that is on the same "class" as a 7970.

I haven't seen a 7950 that doesn't overclock well tbh. Some aren't quite as fast as the others but they are still beastly. Take a look at this thread. A forum member reach 1225 on his sapphire 7950!

Awesome, sounds promising. Looks like I'm going to have to read up on how to "properly" over clock a card. I've just used the CCC software and took it up in small increments until I see artifacts / dodgy graphics, then wind it down. Never looked into volts and such forth.

Would seem a waste to max out CCC if there is still plenty of potential beyond even that. But I'd make sure to read up thoroughly on how to overclock a GPU and bring it to it's potential properly.

Would love to see them!

I've got a new rig to put together, including 2x sapphire 7950 reference cards with some ek water blocks. It is just sitting waiting at home for me to clock the crap out of it all. Will let you know of anything I find!
