Sapphire 7970 issue

So I got my new kit today over the moon put it all together carefully boot her up and check to make sure everything is working and Heart Attack time the fans on my card wont turn. so check all power cables are right yep all fine got power and pics just no damn fans, then swapped out the power supply cable same issue, had a careful look at the card the fan power header wasn't connected to the pcb properly so corrected that little issue, so I go into gpuz and I have NO temp or fan speed shown, downloaded TRIXX from Saphire no luck with adjusting fans in there either so possible dud that I need to rma?

So you bought a card brand new and it didn't have the fans attached?

I'd definitely return it, as that says to me someone's had it out before.

No the fan header pin had come loose a bit from the pcb

Well have I got some good news today my card is working perfectly now after a full format reinstall I have it at 1GHZ on AMD 13.3 drivers and I've got a bloody big smile on my face, and as I'm typing this got my free copy of Crisis 3 downloading too!
