Ron Paul - an American politician who talks sense?

I think he either dropped out by now, or has zero chance of winning.

It's basically down to Hillary, Obama and McCain. Out of those three I'd pick Hillary first, and McCain second. I'm a republican, or like to think of myself as one, but McCain is a total piece of scum IMHO. Obama is "for" gun control - that instantly makes him a No in my books.

I know he's not in the running, which about go's to show the sense of American politics/voters.

Personally after reading their manifesto's, I like Obama

It`s the same world-over to me. Those with incredibly slim chances of stepping up talk a bit of sense. Those who are inline to take seats, even if they`re obvious idiots, cater mostly to the media and waffle when it comes to real stuff.

Hillary`s an interesting choice, they`re all gashes tho if we`re honest.

Too bad Ms Rice isn`t running yet.

What a smart man, and a politician who actually speaks real sense. That was a really refreshing view Kemp, thanks for the share :)

what america needs is a president, who removes guns from the streets, puts petrol prices up, so americans cant drive around in their 4, 5, or more litere cars (there's no need for them!) and actually has the sense to leave iraq alone, and let them do what they want, and just focus solely on their own country, sorting out their own problems, pouring their own money into their own problems until they're fixed

Gun's aren't as big of a problem on the streets as most people are led to believe. Our current government has already RAISED gas prices to astronomical levels. Exxon, Valero and others have reported record profits made in the year of 2007.

Engine size doesn't matter as much as you think. Plus, in America, quite a few SUV's and trucks are used for what they were meant for. In addition to that, SUV's (4x4) and AWD vehicles are needed in some locations, especially where I'm situated because of the 100" + of snow we get anually.

We could've left Iraq alone, we should have left Iraq alone, but we didn't, so now theres nothing we can do but wait it out. Focusing on our own country is something we tried in the 1910's until a German U-Boat sunk a British passenger ship (the Lusitania) with >100 Americans on it in the Atlantic Ocean. The boat was smuggling arms to Britain to help fight World War 1. Back then, we had a very strict foreign policy of "stay out of European affairs - they're always at war." This attack obviously angered us, and thus, we entered WWI. Unfortunately, after WWII (which we probably would've had much less influence in if it wasn't for the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor), the UN was started and we play a very large role in that - not only for making decisions but providing ample military power to enforce those decisions if the need be as well.
