Roccat Kave

Hello All,

I have recently bought a Roccat Kave and thought id find out if Dedicated Soundcard is worth it so i got myself Xonar D2X on Xonar unified drivers v1.64. Sound is WOW. Just a little niggle or im thinking its a niggle and meant to be like it, but the sub only in one ear (left). Is this meant to be with a Kave and D2X or is it meant to be in both.

I have searched the forums but couldnt find anything.

I'd have guessed as it's a 5.1 headset the sub would just be in one ear?

No, the sub should be in both ears.
Most, if not all, genuine 5.1 headsets have 4 drivers in each cone - 3 directional and one sub. If you're only getting bass in one ear, the headset needs to be RMAd.

Like I said... My 5.1s have them in both ears...

I don't have your headset, but I can guarantee that you need to have a functioning sub for both ears.

I have the Roccat Kave and a xonar D1. when i was setting everything up i found it difficult to get the cables into the right sockets on the sound card as they were not coloured on the back of the D1. make sure they are connected correctly. I had to get up the manual for both the kave and d1 on screen to make sure I did it right

Make sure you havent got the sub positioned over to one side in drivers. (you can drag each channel around)

I tried doing that but i couldnt move. the image shows the sub next to the front right speaker but sub only coming out of left cup.....?

Had the Kaves replaced. Bass and Vibs in bot ears. Tweaked the equalizers and im very impressed.

glad to see that you have yours sorted now. unfortunately i am now having problems with mine. today i noticed that my right cup was quiet and it turns out that the right front speaker is stupidly quiet. only that one though.

Love the Kave's, Had them for about 6 months now, brilliant quality and they go nicely with my black and blue LED theme ^^
