Hello there everybody, some time this summer i will create a new rig for myself.

And before i go out and use all my savings, i would like to hear your opinions of the contents

I will of course post pictures of the process of building it and the finished product.

I'm aiming to do a complete Black and Red theme over the entire rig.

System Parts:

BitFenix Colossus - Red, Window.

Corsair AX850

ASUS Rampage IV Extreme X79

Intel 3930K

16GB(4x4) Kingston HyperX T1 1866MHz (Black)

Sapphire Radeon HD 7970

SanDisk Extreme 120GB

Corsair H100 w/ NF-F12 Push/Pull

So what do you think, should anything be changed before i start this project?

i personaly tink the dominator ram would fir your theme bether

i would also change the ssd to some that dont use the sandforce controller, like the m4 form crucial and the performance pro from corsair.

well if you're going with a red/black theme you cannot put the noctua's in there

haha they'll stick out like a sore thumb.

and plus it doesn't seem like your budget is small so i would say go with proper water cooling, use blood red liquid, it'll look awesome.

Also as said above, go with a better SSD, either the m4 or an intel 520 series.

Well actually with that build im cutting my budget veery close, i know about the noctua fans,

but i really want a silent and performing rig therefore also the HyperX ram,

i must admit ive been looking at the dominator GT but they are so expensive...

i would like to go water cooling at some point, but at this moment i simply cant afford it, unless i get a lot of money for my old rig.

Also, why trade of my SanDisk SSD? I've been using a Corsair Force GT(It broke), then i got 2 Force 3 and i have not had a single problem with either of them, even in RAID0

Your system sounds ok just the ssd I would say get the Kingston Hyper X ssd and I think you will be just fine. Or if you can get one a Mushkin ssd.
