not sure if this is the correct place to post this thread but :

Well for a while now when i shutdown my rig the gpu rgb and cpu block rgb stay on. ive checked online and have sleep, hybernate all disabled. when i start rig up again i get the normal bios flash screen and it boots back into windows. system is fine but its annoying me that these rgbs stay on.
Just wondering if any of you guys have ever had a similar prob ?

We always ask for people to post spec lists fella, rigs change. Posts doesnt and this may help someone else in future.

Please post a full spec list of all your kit. CPUZ doesnt tell me what cooler or GPU youve got.

With Asus stuff its normally a setting in the software if you want it to stay on OR a totally different profile when powered off.

The AIO in my rig just stays on too, I think its something to do with 5v power staying on.

My X370 CH6 Hero has this very same annoyance. I have to kill my PSU to kill the light show, even though the lights are set to shut down on power off. I'm hoping a future bios revision cures this.

You can change yours in the software

I don't use Aura. I just set the colors in the bios, since I only wanted plain red, no dance party. :) There's an option in the BIOS to shut them off on power down, and I have that set, but it doesn't work for some reason. So when the system is on, they're red, but on power off they go RGB dance party and color cycle. I suspect the bios thinks I'm putting the system into a sleep state rather than power down, even though I have all that stuff disabled in W10. I think I need to look into the hibernate state stuff in the BIOS.

Using Aura means you can disable the lights or set static colours when you shut down though

You can set it in the BIOS too, it just doesn't work. But I seem to be one of the few that has this issue, it doesn't appear to be widespread. Oh well, I just kill the PSU as a workaround. If it starts driving me nuts, I'll see if I have better luck with Aura, but I'd rather not. I love Asus boards, but their software leaves a LOT to be desired.

It's usually something like ERP in the BIOS, if you enable it then the PSU switches off completely, with it disabled it keeps the 5v rail powered up. My USB stuff stays powered on with ERP disabled, with it enabled everything shuts down.
