The players seem to take the change pretty well....... though once in a while they do tend to vote in favor of TDM maps..... so leaving out 1 or 2 critics everyone seems happy......

BTW there is no CRASH map in map rotation:(....... CRASH HQ would be gr88:D.....
 
Me and Nepas had to clear out some vote spammers yesterday. Continously calling votes annoyed everyone. I think we need a new console notification that states that if the vote doesn't win first time round, then don't do it again.

Oh and I saw plenty of people doing cosole modifications with the tilde key. The little cheats... :D
 
I mostly dont kick vote spammers...... its not against the rules...... but giv a console warning against "kick vote" spammers.....

BTW could all admins PM me ur ingame names....... atleast each of us must know if there is a fellow admin present on the server......
 
I dont know who banned you wardou, but I have seen you on a few times.

@ kablooey = zak, great that you are monitoring the server when admins are not on, and working together with Nepas but try and be a bit more diplomatic in your wording, you certainly don't mess around, but then again thats maybe what they need. shoot first ask questions later. :)

no need to pm you my in game name panzer, I am easily identifiable by the tags, although I do sneak on now and again with my sons profile, but not that often.

the only option with the vote spammers is to turn it off, but that stops regulars from self policing. Again good work :)

tbh I think that Zaks bluntness is whats needed at the moment,in general I think that we as admins have been too soft and a bit too lax with people on the server,every now and again it is good to crackdown on people just so that people realise that we will not tolerate abuse/cheats on the server.

just my 2p
 
Still wondering why JIm hasen't replied to a PM I sent about becoming a true admin. I could do a lot more "shooting first", lol, if I can get the password for modernrcon legally/with permission. :p

i do some policing from time to time but yeh i dont see any harm in letting zak have some power

i know modernrcon allows you to choose which powers people have now

very true...... but feels nice to keep the server clean when u play:p....... but ur score gets all messed up:mad:

modernRcon is good but could I also suggest RConMax to those who have not used it :yumyum:

i still vote to make the server smaller/two smaller servers as i prefer it and its easier to manage

Wht can I do...... I cant hav them kicked without verifying the claims of other players....... so spectating in the middle of a game is the only option.... am not a lose cannon at kicking players:p.....

Its better to giv console warnings to some players rather than kick....... it works sometimes:D.....

But players with cheats:mad: get no warning....... direct kick:nono:!!

There was a cheater last night at about 2 or 3 am. This isn't the first time, actually, there is often one when the night has come... and this always makes people leave quickly.......

BTW I noticed they were less people on than usual, it seems that they only like TDM.. :rolleyes:

Remember it has been policed quite well lately as well, so a lot of cheaters are being kicked - which means they know not to come on. Most of us go to bed during the UK silent hours.

If you want it back to same old cheats and then we can go that way, just spoils the game play for those that want to mix it up a bit. I also don't think the numbers have dropped that radically except during the silent hours.

I will continue to monitor for a few more days and switch it back if need be.

One 12 man.

Oh and 12 man server must be exclusive to OC3D members so we know everyone who is playing and we will attract new users to the forums.
