Req:Hard Drive Continuous Test Proggy

Looking for a recommendation of a prog that will continuously write/read/delete to a raid3 setup. If u like, emulating use.

Atm theres 3x 80g drives, 160g for space, 1 drive redundant.

Issue I have is the card I use for this seems to lose integrity of the raid setup after a couple of weeks.

So.. `in the lab` I`ve set the thing up and want to run something on the pc that does the above. The pc has a "newer" mobo and a different chipset etc, so it`s a fair tester to see if the card is just shizzle.

Know loads of 1 off testing gear, but nothing that will do the equiv of an orthos on u`r drives.

Have you tried Everest or SiSoft Sandra? I think they both have disk benchmark software which should work the drives pretty hard.

I`m prepared to leave the pc running for a few days r/w/d `ing, atleast hours at a time, will they do that ? I figured they just did the `quick` testing/benching ?

Did think about writing a bat file or something.

Thing is the drives I`ve just yanked from 3 pcs are fine, in essence I`m testing the card`s reliability.
