So I finally got around to checking out the whirring noise from my PC whilst I was dismantling it over Easter. I had assumed it was the pump but that was actually silent, instead it turns out it was the fan on my PSU. Rather than buy another PSU I've decided to change the fan.
I'm looking for a 140mm fan, ~1800rpm, nice and quiet obviously but with sufficient airflow. I don't think pressure is particularly important here. It's a 2 pin fitting but I'm quite happy modding the PSU to fit a 3 pin fan and I can make a quick video on how to do that if people are interested.
The fan I'm currently thinking of is the Noiseblocker BlackSilentPro 140mm 1700 rpm.
I've had a look at others but the Cougar Vortex is too expensive.
Anyone got any suggestions?
