Removing an etch

I used cream for my itch...... sorry ETCH!!

Well etching is a type of abrasive (much like my itch) so to remove it you'll have to use some sort of cream (like my itch) that abrasive enough to remove it but soft enough to make it look like polished perspex.

Be easier quicker and less labour intesive to get a new window and it'll look good too.

You could just buy some more perspex and replace the payne?

TBH if u dont like the etch, replace or sell the case.

Anything less than that will not give you the results u desire.

I'm sure its just a sticker ...applique is the fancy name I think

I am actually in a similar situation to you. Got an applique on and old case and tried removing it but couldn't.

Any help would be greatly appreciated guys!

Lewis....I DO like that Exos :) Very nice.

Anyway....if its definately a sticker, not an etch into the plastic.... (better trying this on some spare plastic first)

Hot vinegar.....this may mist the plastic slightly so if 100% clarity is what ur after.... try it on some irrelevant plastic first

Coke?

I was thinking that a bit of heat from a hair drier or heat gun could help get the sticker off. Got to be very careful though cos if you overheat it then you either scorch the window or make it lose its shape.

Yep, the hairdryer trick will work.

Once you've done that.... maybe you should think of tidying up those cables inside your PC  lol

I am gonna be posting some piccies of my bag of bolts soon - tidy and performance do not mix well for me, please be gentle!!
