Thanks everyone!

Pickster, you've really stepped on the gas lately. I have my whole farm running (using way too much power to be efficient) and you're still doubling my PPD almost. What're you Folding with?

I have two laptops folding SMP. One running a T7700 @ 2.6ghz (thanks Dual IDA bios hack) and one running a i5 2410m which tends to fold turboed to 2.7ghz most of the time (The laptop i5s are dual core with hyperthreading).

Also have two desktops running. One is my main rig, i7 2600k @ 4.5ghz with two GTX 560 Tis. One is stock and one is factory overclocked to 900mhz core.

The second rig is the new toy, Dual Xeon 5160 (basicly two C2D @ 3ghz) and that has a GTX 460 (768mb) overclocked to 800mhz core.

My rough numbers put me at about 78,000 PPD but if I'm lucky with SMP work units that can go up quite a bit, similarly bad SMP units can drag it down.

what ppd is your i5 2410m getting? and what are the temps on those laptops?

Got my 2500K up to 4.8GHz now to try to hold off Pickster for just a little longer... probably have to back it down though, temps are over 70C.

The 2410m gets 4000 PPD on an average SMP WU, but on the 'good' ones it can reach as high as 8000 PPD at the moment. HWmonitor reports core temps of 80c but the actual base doesnt get too warm at all.

My T61 with the T7700 ranges between 70c and 85c depending on the fn speed. I have got TPFanControl running otherwise the temp sits arouns 90c.

70c? Pfffftt

My 2600k quite often is sat at around the 80c mark unless I have fresh air blowing in from outside.

This is due to; my loathing of loud PCs, the horrible Vcore I need to run 4.5ghz 100% stable and the two 560 Tis folding (-advmethods) not all that far from the heatsink.

Edit:

The race to 5 million could be interesting

I'm powering down the setup for 36 hours (OH NOES) because I'm going out of town and I'm kinda paranoid about this old dusty house catching fire or something; when I get back I'm gonna work on overclocking the GPUs and my Q9300 to make up for lost time. Race to 5 mil it is.

and on good old isle of wight it is...

Raining :/

All the more reason to stay indoors.

It's done nothing at all over here, just grey and dull.

Inclined to sell my 1090 and 5870s for a 2700k and wod of GTS 450s, but just too much hassle to be doing with - but now is the only chance I think I've got of getting any value out of the current parts. Also bought the 5870s because they ran games well - but I don't play them anymore and they fold poorly.

I know you don't need SLI to run F@H on a load of 450s but still, I don't like the idea of installing Nvidia drivers on a AMD based board

Tell a lie, just started snowing
