Hey Guys, I tried joining the "team" a few months ago but found after installing the "client" it was slowing everything down dramatically even though it was reasonably high spec, I73820, GTX590's rampage iv extreme etc. I must have been doing soemething very wrong I assume? Is it better to run a separate rig solely for folding as I have loads of unwanted, unused hardware????
 
Well it depends what you are trying to do. When gaming I disable folding. Sometimes when I'm just browsing the web I'll disable GPU folding but leave CPU folding going. The client is supposed to release the cPU/GPU when it's being requested by another app. The client should have the lowest priority for resources.
 
Hi guys, I need help, my folding programs just stops working. It just finished up to a 100% (not sure if the work was sent) and it never accepted jobs anymore for more than a half day. I'm using a mac running snow leopard 10.6.8. and FAH client control 7.2.9. Do I need to reinstall the software? Thanks. ;)
 
reinstalling would help. Also the tags might be helpful
