Hello friendly creatures of the internet!

I'm looking for a PSU which is silent, modular and fits in a Core 500 with a 980Ti Strix installed. I did look some PSU up but most owners say that 150mm+ PSU are a very, very tight fit and i don't really like very, very tight fits. :D

Needs to feed:
- 6700K, 980Ti, 1 SSD, 1 HDD, 1 ODD, loots of USB things, USB AMP/DAC
- OC headroom welcome
- Silent
- (Semi-) Modular for good management

Cheers, Rak

I have the RM650i on the list but wasn't sure about lenght+cables. I will research that a little bit more.

Theres only one company that makes short cable kits and you have to buy those as an upgrade to the original psu. it all ends up getting complicated and expensive pretty fast.

Having had experience with the Corsair RMi series I can highly recommend them, Top build quality and great operation, 650w would be perfect for you.

I can recommend a EVGA PSU mainly cause of the warranty it comes with a 10 Year Warranty.

IMO the EVGA SuperNova G2 PSU is better quality than the Corsair RMi series

As far as I know Corsair RMi is 180mm so it won't fit that case. You could get the new corsair sf600 or sf450 and an adapter plate. That will leave you with plenty of room.
I'm guessing Tom will do a review on these in the future. If I'm not mistaken he mentioned something about that.

The 650w RMi is 150mm x 86mm x 160mm so just shy of fitting sadly but yeah the new SF600 would be perfect :)
