1.1million is nothing in this industry. Sometimes I wonder whats the point in fining big companies that burn this amount like its a company expense.
Meanwhile true, it also both shows and marks Razer with false advertisement. Not only by the product itself being false advertised, but especially when it comes to human lives and their healths. That's a whole different level if say something like the 970 3.5GB Vram scandal.
I find this extremely worse and highly more false, wrong, immoral and really sunk Razer's reputation.
Like honestly selling an product, that they literally ONLY made to cash in on people during an period which the world was in horror, and then to also lie about it's capabilites and hence protection to said disease/horror? Nahh... that's completely different from just a fine.
And sure, other companies did this as well, like masks, disinfections of different sorts. Although those already did these kind of products in the first place. They weren't an technology/gaming company from the beginning, being in an entirely different industry alltogheter.
Razer was alraedy low on my list, this just made me lose all respect for them and now even makes me sick just thinking of them honestly.
But agree with you, honestly first thought, before had even clicked into the thread itself, that it said in the lines of "Razer to pay $1.1 billion..." but then thought "nah, probably just an small amount as ususal...", and yes, just an patethic million for them.
