Rapture v3 - My current work in progress.

Looks neat and tidy!

Really love those cables as they add a bit of a white tint.

Congratulations with your first watercooling build!

Very nice.

Its easy i think its the fear of what could happen puts people off. When i first did it i was quite nervous but after when i look back at it. It's as easy as building the pc in the first place.:)

Yeh i know what you mean with the fear of what if something went wrong and leaked etc but from watching videos on how to's etc the putting together isnt my main worry as it seems as regards to water cooling it has come along way over the years and the parts are a lot stronger less prone to problems.

Getting the right parts and quality parts is something i want to get right and understanding the whole system :D

Im sure of you went to the watercooling threads you would get alot of help.If what parts to get is the concern why not get a kit TTL has reviewed on YT.:)

Guys, firstly thanks for the very kind words! I've not been very active lately for a number of reasons since building this pc. Basically life's been kicking my a*se but I've also been losing momentum a bit feeling flat out uninspired and it makes a difference to see such nice things being said. I'm a pretty humble guy and I don't want to give the impression that I want to show off, in fact my ability to afford this computer was at the time a one off.

Anyhow, it's been nearly a year and I had some issues with the Maximus IV extreme, it basically crapped out on me. I've since replaced it with a V Formula and popped the north bridge into the water loop, it fills the gap better as it was a tad bare around the cpu and I do like the look of the extra bit of hose. The 2500K is now a 3570k but it's not overclocked at the moment as I'm able to keep the system nice and quiet on stock which is useful when I'm just using it for non gaming stuff (if only there was more time for gaming!)

I'll need to get some better photos of it all now, I'll try and do that tonight and update the thread because when I look at how the rig was back then I realise it's looking and performing a lot better now than it ever was.

Here's a poor quality photo of how she looks now though :

Photos tonight!

In the meantime my secondary HD7970 is breathing a quiet sigh of relief (I nearly sold her!)

Very very nice rig, i wanted to go for that color scheme too but with my budget i couldn't get a asus rog motherboard.

I hope to build a rig like that some day, but with my income it's not gonna happen.

Don't I know that feeling :( (for me it's my health).
But on topic: That is one sweet rig, mate! Looking forward to the new pics.

Patience, my friend, patience. I've been saving up and buying stuff for my upcoming build for the past 2 years or so. It's utterly too expensive for a college student if we're being pragmatic (but we're not ), but being frugal (though not cheap) in the rest of my life and focusing my spending on this one PC has after a long time finally led me to my objective (well, not quite yet, but almost). Not that there haven't been some derailments in between (bad health and the related expenses mainly), but being persistent pays off in the long run.
