Raid set up on Intel Matrix Storage (ICH9R)

Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible to set up two Raid 0 arrays on the Intel Matrix Storage (ICH9R) Chip?

I want to:

2 x 74gb WD Raptors Sata - Raid 0

2 x 500gb WD SE16 Sata - Raid 0

And use my external HD as a backup.

When I googled this it came up with setting up different Raid's and I wasn't sure if you could create two of the same Raid on the same Chip.

Yes, you should be able to set this up on the one controller. It's simply a case of creating the arrays via the RAID setup utililty.

Sweet, I have also learnt that you can Raid 0 more than 2 hd's. I think ill post a new thread about the best way to set up hard drives.
