hey guys,

So i am having trouble trying to decide if i am gonna use raid 0+1 or 1+0.

if 1 disk fails with raid 1+0 i need to replace it but how will that work do i unplug the broken one and replace it with a new one and it will copy data automaticly to the empty disk or what ?

and what do u guys think about the risk i take with 0+1?

on raid 0 ill put my OS and games and on raid 1 ill put school work and movies

-thanks in advance-:D

If a drive breaks you pop in a new one and the raid should rebuild the data dude.

Thank you for your reply :)\

and another quick question ..will raid 0 improve gaming...like loading time for maps and stuff?

Normally a RAID 0 will get better than 15%, depending on the size of the RAID (how many drives etc.). The stuff I use my disks for (music, movies, older games) load almost twice as fast with RAID than without. Be aware however that onboard RAID (with the possible exception of RAID 0) is totally awful.

The more complicated a setup the slower the data rates, unless you spring for a dedicated card, and I suggest you really look before you leap.
