hi guys,

planning my new X99 build and I'm planning on using both 480's (Top and Side) and slapping a 240/360 in the front (which ever fits but as far as i can tell from pics if i have a 480 in the side only a 240 will fit in the front?

Locally available i have XS-PC, Alphacool and Ek Rads available.

What I'm looking for is-

1.Max surface area achievable while complying with points 2 and three.
2. all rad same series (at very least same brand)
3. the 480 in the side to be multi ported so that i can set up a really smick drainage line.

So yea need to know what will fit while still meeting the three points above.

Ive got a feeling the XS-PC RX's are going to be the best option but input wanted and welcomed

As you said you can only put a 240 in front if you have a 480 on the side. I would recomend the UT 60 series as i know it fits and but both the 240 and 480 in the bottom, they have better cooling for similar resistance than the RX and are multiported. You get to keep the drive bays but you would not be able to fit a pump down there. I did not try the front mount.
I had to remove the front fan but since i wanted to have cool air coming in between the rads i sticky taped it to the lip just inside the filter and it works fine. With that setup you can still route tubing between the rads if you do one fan only but not hide pumps.
I am not sure about the 480 in the top since i used a 360 ( still use the optical drive occasionally) but Tom's review says it will fit.
Good luck.

Or you could put a 480 in the top, and a 480 and 240 in the lower compartment and use the front for good airflow fans.

480 does fit in the top. I tried it, but since i used the XTX rads my clearance/room for the cpu fan headers and EPU connection was difficult to access. Then again, I had a push pull for that 480 and wasn't needed.
