There would be little point comparing SLi GTX280/260 to Xfire 4870's because if the 4870's are snapping at the heel of one card [but not beating it outright] then they are obviously not going to magically beat two- it's a result which has already been decided.
I applaud OC3D for taking time to work out the £ per Frame, as their own take on Bang 4 Buck, because it's what [the majority of] people really want to know.

Just incase there's crossed wires here, the review i am talking about is the techreport one linked on page one. Read that and you should see where i'm coming from. Nothing to do with any OC3D review, which btw, i factor into the majority, if not all, of my desicions when buying.

It's obvious the the 4870 and 280 are not in the same class based on price. AMD decided to hit the more mid-range market before going for the true performance. Granted, I do agree that it would have been nice to see SLI results just to have them, but not as a direct comparison to the 4870 Crossfire
name='doug2507' said:With the X2 being a dual, would it not be fair to say that the 4870 is in the same bracket as the 280? 'If' Nvidia bring out a GX2 of the 280 then should that not be compared to the X2 with both being dual's?
