Hi, so I'm just getting in the last couple of pieces of equipment that i will be using for my first loop, I got the new raystorm kit from dazmode with the rx360 and i've been reading around and a lot of places mention that you should flush a new rad with hot water, and then distilled water to get crap out of it and then use ur fluid.

I am wondering (because i will be starting my first loop in a cuuple days) do i have to flush out a brand new xspc rx360? and also what are best/easiest ways of doing so AND is there anything else that i'm not aware of that i have to do???????

( i have watched TTL's watercooling guide along with others, but for they didn't mention anything about flushing rads and stuff , so just wanna know if there is anything else that is assumed knowledge )

thanks guys

really, cuz from what i read its to flush out the "flux" or something from the factory, i'm not saying i know anything about the manufacturing of rads, just what i've seen on the web.

it will be easier if i don't have to flush it out ( and yes its a brand new sealed rad, haven't taken the pastic caps off yet )

From what I have read you should flush even if they are brand new because they can have tiny bits of metal from being machined, bits of dust and other stuff could be in there also.

Better to be safe than sorry anyway.

I stand corrected.

Although, I have never flushed any of my WC setups and they have preformed as expected.

Always flush a new rad. There is so much filth inside.Use hot water, and destilled after. You can flush out on a white dish and look how much there is left.

thanks for the tips guys, i'll do it and i'll post pics in my build log

Looking forward to the build & pics. I have my complete kit sitting around...still. Need some time to start the build.

Flushing a rad is easy.

Best way is like this.

1) add 1 cap full of White (clear) vinegar and hot water to your rad.

2) Let it sit for a few hours.

3) empty it out down the drain

4) rinse with tap water , let the tap water rush though the rad for a good 1/2 hour

5) rise with DI water when finished.

6) fit and have fun.

Do this with all rads and you'll have no problems.

Thanks guys, i flushed the rad out (and yes there was crap in it) i just started a thread in the "Project Logs" its called "My Bloody HAF X" check it out in a few hours i will be posting a **** load of pics i took including the flushing
