Quick News

Lmao they could've at least asked the owner to take out the video cards? Granted taking a computer with that on the motherboard isn't the best of ideas, but he probably didn't even consider that as after a while you don't look at your system the way you did when you just built it.

In this case I really think customs are to blame for the broken parts and the guy shouldn't have to pay for a replacement himself, although he'll probably have to cause let's be honest, "they were just doing their jobs".

Would be a smooth move from Gigabyte to supply him with a new motherboard though as it's already a news story and it'll make them look good and will basically be free advertisement.

UMC, United Microelectronics Corporation, has started to up the high volume production on AMDs TSV processes currently residing in the HBM technology on Fury and Fury X. The cause of low stock of Fiji enabled GPUs is because the TSVs connecting the layered HBM stacks is what is currently the most difficult process to fabricate.

So while HBM isn't hard to fabricate, it's the TSVs that go inside them that are. Hopefully within the next 2 months we can start to see more stock.

Doesn't surprise me, They can't even keep good stock of their Fury X.

I know so many people on forums that ended up getting a 980 Ti because of stock problems.

Maybe they couldn't afford to have surplus stock of the card ;) hurr hurr hurr

EVGA has released the 980Ti Kingpin

It also comes with a single slot IO for those who want it. But the prices are ludicrous depending on the ASIC

76%+ $999.99

74%+ $899.99

72%+ $849.99

Looks like the Xbox One may soon have Keyboard & Mouse support for games.

http://www.bit-tech.net/news/gaming/2015/07/22/xbox-one-keyboard-mouse-support/1

In a discussion on Twitter regarding the possibility of streaming from a Windows 10 machine to the Xbox One, rather than the other way around, Spencer explained 'Yep, keyboard and mouse support for Xbox would need to be there for this to work, [but] those aren't far away.'
My thoughts are as commented on the Bit-Tech article.

About time, I have tried multiple adaptors and none of them work properly for me on the Xbox One due to most games having a "turn speed limit" built in to them.

I would love to be able to play the likes of COD, Destiny and many others with the K&M but I honestly doubt that it will be implemented in those games because of the controllers inability to respond as quickly, as mouse or keyboard.

Just to add though, the Xbox 360 and Xbox One both already have keyboard support and I believe mouse support but, I believe that it is up to the developers to add the support within the games, since Microsoft do not ban people for using the likes of the Xim adaptor but they say that developers can if they wish, and Microsoft will not support the adaptors or warranty of the console if the adaptor is believed to have caused the issue.

No written information on that, that I could find but I remember being told that over the phone by Xbox support.

TBH IMO this doesn't make any sense to me why do you need Keyboard & Mouse for a console, If your going to do that you might as well use a PC.

Some people don't like using a computer for gaming or won't use a keyboard and mouse because they cannot get use to them.

Personally for multiplayer in terms of COD and the likes I cannot use the controller, but for single player games I can which is weird but it's just the way it is.

I know a few people that would rather play on consoles but don't because of the lack of K&M support in games like COD.

Quite a few of my friends only play games on consoles so if I want to game with them, I have to use a controller but I would rather use a K&M.

The other advantage to console gaming is generally the games run alot better due to consoles having pretty much the same hardware in them, only real difference is the ram in the current ones afaik.

Because consoles are cheaper ;)

Consoles are not always cheaper especially in the general lifetime of one unless you get extremely lucky.

Xbox Ones are around £300, then you have around £40 a year for Xbox Live if you don't end up getting it cheap, then you have around £40 to £60 per game.

On the pc yes there is more expense initially but with the likes of Steam sales and cheap cd key sites, it still works out more expensive but on the pc you can also do more than just game so you can make extra money using your pc, where as consoles can basically just game and that's it, so on the pc you can make quite a chunk of your money back for the initial investment, and then to also cover upgrades.

Well to me it's still pointless to have Keyboard and Mouse for consoles ^_^

You'd get a huge edge in FPS games. mice are much more accurate compared to controllers.

It's just my opinion not going to change that, i will always think consoles for controllers not keyboard & mouse.

Maybe i'm just to much apart of "The PC Master Race" i know some people don't like hearing that, You can do so much more on PC's.

apparently Win 10 is screwing up multimonitor setups and sli for nvidia users. its installing drivers twice per card and doubles up. Its also auto updating the drivers if users try rolling back to get their additional monitors working again. Oopsie.

My dad had a issue with running SLI on Windows 10 but he found that if he set one card in the Nvidia control panel as dedicated for PhysX, then he had no issues and the multi monitor setup has been running with no issues.

He is running the 353.62 drivers now and has not had to set one card as a dedicated PhysX card since installing them though.

He is running GTX680 SLI as well.

True but when playing a game you've got much more accuracy with a mouse and keyboard compared to a controller (hence why console games have aim assist).
