Quick News

A "leaked" Monster Hunter Wilds benchmark has been spotted using a 9070XT -

Just for a fun comparison I tested it with a 9800X3D and 7900XTX at the same res of 1080P with the same Ultra preset which puts FSR to Quality and used Frame Gen the same as the "leaked" pic indicates.

I did 1 run without RT and 1 with RT set to its maximum, I saw a maximum of 20GB VRAM being used.

Shame we don't know if they used RT or not but if they did then it nicely sits between a 7900XT and 7900XTX which will be really nice if they can nail the price down.

GTAV on PC getting the previously release graphical options for consoles aswell as various other additions.

Technical Enhancements

Depending on hardware support, GTAV players on PC who upgrade will be able to enjoy:

  • Ray tracing features only available on PC such as ambient occlusion and global illumination — plus ray traced shadows and reflections first debuted on consoles
  • Support for AMD FSR1 and FSR3, and NVIDIA DLSS 3
  • Faster loading times using SSD and DirectStorage on supported devices and configurations
  • Enhanced support for higher resolutions, higher aspect ratios, and higher framerates
  • DualSense® controller support, with adaptive triggers
  • Enhanced audio with support for Dolby Atmos and improved fidelity of speech, cinematics, and music

I may actually play the single player now, Only ever used it for the benchmark

TBH if the RT rumours are true it may be the better all rounder. Not that it matters tbh, but the offset of better RT VS slightly worse raster may tip the crowd in its favour.

42 minutes til review. Canna fookin weet man.

If it's on par with a 7900XTX then it's going to be difficult to persuade myself not to sell it and get a 9070XT Nitro+ 😁

Even with having "only" 16GB of memory, FSR3.1 games being able to be converted over to FSR4 is very tempting considering the massive image quality boost and what with RDNA3 likely getting a very gimped version in 6-12 months it may be time to move over.

Oooo. That's interesting. That's in my slide deck from AMD too. Definately legit slide.

I imagine they want to let the 9000 series shine for a while before releasing it for the 7000 series. I don;t imagine it will work for the 6000 series though.

There have been statements about FSR 4 on RDNA 3 if they can make it "cheaper" AI-wise. Perhaps there will be a lower quality RDNA 3 model.

Sadly, RDNA 3 doesn't have the same AI capabilities as RDNA 3. That said, if they have a similar model that works, RDNA 3 users could get a good quality upgrade.

Like all of these AI upscalers, FSR 4 will be altered and improved over time. If one improvement is making it faster, great. If it is a lower quality "FSR 3.5" model for RDNA 3, that's also great.

TBH, a cheaper FSR 4 model could also find use on PS5 Pro, potentially.

See I'd love to move over to a Sapphire 9700XT Nitro+ as that would remove any "will FSR4 work properly" doubts but that's IF I had the funds spare and even selling the 7900XTX I'd still be a fair bit short which is annoying as my utilities all went up recently 😑

Well i can honestly say having one and looking at much thou not had huge time testing as drivers chipset all sorts to change after bios update. Well it's better than a 7900xtx kinda on par in rasta but in dxr it's way ahead tbh the frame rates is one thing but man is this card smooth in game in dxr im seeing double most of the time and i guess due to the other settings hyper rx is doing at times 3 or 4x better than my 6800XT was.

My main issue i feel is virtual memory my c drive needs an upgrade soon so it took a bit of tinkering to get the last of us part 1 to open with shaders and such few games like that, but cyberpunk i deleted everything and reinstalled and idk it wont open so i need to mess around with that others have had issues but i seen it benched so idk so many things can happen when you switch hardware.

But everything working correctly after bios update and until i did i was getting nothing at all from the card.

Very very good card if amd don't sell on mass now with this card then they simply never will cause it's that good a card.

They're so popular they're sold out everywhere, Most stores got a massive amount of them in and they all went the first day. OCUK got something obscene like 10,000 units and they all went day 1.

I'll be getting a 9070XT Nitro+ but in 1-2 months once stock normalises.

Stock example, Again, They had in the neighbourhood of 10,000 units.

Yeah just if able you should as the prices and stock will not improve they will fly off the shelves and with tariffs and the way the world is or markets will not help matters is why i ended up not waiting, big sister lent me the funds and nephew gets my 6800xt to use, i know some are holding them but ocuk in fairness is outing tons of themone of the few places that did just a shame the site didn’t hold up and otherwise id have saved a little. But tbh any good brand well made card under 700 is well worth it as sure id have gone nitro plus as well but it’s too big that 3mm wasn’t going to fit, thou my card has same boost clocks and added 100 offset by auto so it’s not even sweating at 3165mhz.

Still decently priced on ocuk others not so much, thou tbh i'm just happy to have one but these prices i feel wont last as the demand is too high for them to sustain it, thou time will tell i guess but honestly why would you buy a 5070ti in my view no real reason to pay above it's 729 and unless they can get the price down why would you in my view, fsr4 stuff to check tonight and see if i can get cyberpunk running with adjusted page file location etc.
