Question Dark Power Pro 10 850w

I actually won a Dark Power Pro 10 850w (and a Dark rock pro 3) and there is a feature that I need to understand..
Since I am not really an extreme overclocker (at all lol) and wont be affording quad sli etc... I would like to know the use for this

Overclocking key allows switchover between quadruple independent +12V rail mode and high-performance single-rail operation

It has a switch that you can turn on and off??

Whats the reason for the quad / single (and can I assume that on for OC would be the single?)

Thanks!!

The 4 pin cables to your mainboard are what is usually referred to as 12V rails. You will notice that your mainboard most likely has two of those plugged in, those two cables usually share the same rail though. I suppose this switch means that instead of using multiple 4 pin cables the power goes all through one of them, providing a higher and more stable power output.
I'm not an electrician so probably one of the guys is going to correct me on something but this should explain the concept.
Google for "multiple 12V rails vs single 12V rails" and you will find a whole lot of posts basically indicating that your PSU's feature is utterly pointless.
