I'm not sure if im using that term correctly, and i hope this is in an appropriate section.
I'm running 3 drives on my pc- a SSD, and two HDDs. while i've stored as much as i can on the HDD, theres certain things that default to the C drive locations. on a previous install which i didnt do, it was set up so that all user files were stored on D drive rather than C (D being a 2tb sata, C being the SSD) which was done by what appeared to be a simple shortcut in the place of my user profile.
I've been neglecting this for months but i just had a low disc space warning. i managed to free up 20gb of unnessasary things, or just move them but theres 35gb of files that i cant change the index of otherwise things will break since they directly refer to it.
the main two folders using up space is my music and my documents, while ive stored as much as i can on D, some things make their way onto C. my question is can i make a copy of these folders on my D or E drive and place a shortcut pointing to them in the place, or is there more to it?
Videos and pictures were transferred a long time ago since nothing points to them its a easy switch.
