Question about acrylic tube/fittings

So I've seen that primochill stuff, looks really nice. I do not however, like the fittings they look waaay too chunky for my liking.

The look I want to go for basically, is metallic fittings/elbows etc, but with straight tubing, I don't want the fittings for the tube to be wider in diameter than the fittings themselves (if possible, or at the very least, only slightly wider)

I think i've seen someone do this using the Sli tube fittings from bitspower, are these the ones to use?

Also which tubing?

Secondly, I notice on the primochill listings on ST that it says not to use glycol fluids, does anyone happen to know off hand if Feser One is 'compatible' with this tubing.. I know what putting alcohol on heated acrylic can do, so I really don't want it to be cracking, but this is my go-to fluid for water builds.

Edit: found it's ingredient list
Ingredients:
Aqua Bidestillata
Ethylene-Glycol / Ethanediol - Feser Base T
Inhibitors
UV-color pigments

So yeah, anyone had issues with acrylic tubing and stuff like this?

Cheers lads, always nice to draw on the knowledge of the experts here I know we have a couple of acrylic tube users in here, so share the love!

The only difference I could imagine between them and usual rigid tubing fittings is that they may be slightly weaker when not used in SLI configs because when they are in SLI configs, there is also a lot of pressure on the tubing with it stuck in between the two cards which helps keep it sealed. I'm sure you could easily pull it out by hand when it was installed not between GFX cards. Usual rigid tubing fittings may be the same though, I do not know.

I have no personal experience with rigid tubing in any way though so I don't know which to recommend, but ST sells the Primochill rigid tubing, and I'd imagine it's all the same anyway.

I would definitely avoid alcohols (chemicals with the suffix -ol, i.e. glycol, ethanol, ethanediol etc.). I used Aquacomputer DP coolant (ethanediol) with my first loop, which had an EK acrylic tube reservoir, and after a period of months I noticed a very very slow leak from the base of the acrylic section where it screws onto the black acetal section, and after draining it, I disassembled the reservoir and I could see a long, but incredibly narrow hairline crack on the acrylic tube all the way through where the coolant leaked from. I Googled it afterwards and found out that alcohol cracks acrylic so I'll never do it again xD There seems to be very little information online about it though, which surprised me, and there was no warning on the Aquacomputer coolant about use with acrylic, there was however, a warning on EK's reservoir saying not to use alcohol, but unfortunately I didn't see it.

ah I knew I saw one somewhere, thanks. It's got a fittings list too. Spot on :)

Now to think of a different coolant... bugger.
