I've had a CANNONDALE F500 frame + headshock forks I custom built and trashed street riding mostly for my teen-age. Raceline D Yellow Magura hydraulic brakes and the lever snap'd on the front one

the headshock suspension blew side-hoping of a wall

lol and i sold it and the frame snap'd within 2 weeks, lol i'd spent the money on a KONA by then

I have other bikes now, an average GT for east riding, off road and a TREK SU600 with custom pedals, seat and carbon rigid forks for general tarmac riding.

Ill post more info on mine when its done, but Ive had loads of mental bikes over the years.

My first proper bike was a Kona Hoss, about 8 months later that was joined by a Stinky DH bike and thats where my bike modding madness started

I like the Stinky DH bike, i rode one shortly, it's like a trampoline

Someone hadn't got it tuned right then

Anyhow if we are talking quality bikes go check out Curtis or Nicolai both companies make pretty much unparalleled frames especially Nicolai.

he used it to ride down stairs alot so that's probably why. i rode it on tarmac

i've riden other full sus bikes and they're like trampolines too considering I ride rigid hard tails mostly

I've riden harder full suspension bikes and they were cross country bikes and ARGOS value £120 rusty POS left at behing the trees at the bmx jumps at the local waste land kind thing

Cross country bikes have small shocks/suspension. These Stinkys and stuff are 8" travel or summin on the rear, very bouncy

Here's a Nicolai bike, mm v nice

The tyres my friend had on the Brooklyn Race Link were around 5", like motorcross tyres

Anyone been to Penshurt Off Road Club, PORC ? It's Sout East England. It's a good day out to ride and watch. Here: http://www.knowheretoride.com/countries/england_resorts/penshurst.html

Nicoli's are worse than Kona's they weigh a freaking ton!

I prefer my bikes to ride uphill aswell as down them now!

Good. I rode some French Alps, up and down,30+ degrees C
smile.gif
My friend lives there, built like Sampras, flies up the things and me and a friend from here were stopping for fag breaks lol. stop'd smokin now

Depends on which one, they have got a LOT lighter in recent years regardless nothing is better engineered or made than a Nicolai plus who can resist an internal gearbox. Since most of my riding is exclusively down the steepest hills i can find weight has never been a concern on any of my bikes, apart from my trials bike.
