Quad Display

Hi guys,

Anyone tried Win8 on Quad display?

What's it like?

And aside from that what our opinions on moving to Win 8 or staying on Win 7?

(PS - Trying to find a thread a guy started on here that had Win8 tips and tricks listed - any help is great)

Cheers

I run it on 3 screens if that's any help?

It runs fine generally - Windows 8 has good multiscreen support, but doesn't work too well with eyefinity or nvidia surround. You have to enable and disable them every time you start and finish gaming. With it enabled, it sees all your screens as a single monitor, and so stretches the taskbar across all of your screens, along with maximising windows and stuff, which is a bit annoying.

exactly ttl - i hate the concept

so I assume you vote Win7 - or what do you think of something like start8?

(I think it was dugdiamond who was doing the thread i refereed to)

Don't have win8 but my bro does, and it's either independent per screen or only on your primary display.

Tiles does just go onto the single screen.
You can click in the corner of each where the start button should be, and that changes which screens the tiles appear on.

Tbh though, Windows 8 isn't actually that bad. I never really use tiles myself, and you don't have to at all in order to use the PC.

The only time I ever used the start button on windows 7 was to get on my computer, or search for something - which I can do by creating a shortcut or something now, or still just use tiles and type and everything still comes up.

I just find it a faster version of windows 7 really. You get used to the change, and it really isn't that bad.

Windows 8 isn't too bad of an os the only problem I have is that I keep pressing the start menu by accident because im used to windows 7. I spend most of my time in the desktop view rather than the start tiled view
