PUSH PULL setup + With one header???

Getting ready to build, buying 2nd fan for push pull on my cooler master hyper 212+. Asus p6x58d-e has one cpu header. The two fans are labeled 0.36 Amps and while i haven't looked in my manual an internet search says the header is rated for 2A. So can i simply use a Y splitter like this...My link. I want the fans to both be under the same control (matching speed and what not...fans will be identical).

They also sell a cable that plugs into the header and contains a molex connector to draw power from the psu and then you can connect multiple fans, but im thinking this would be overkill.

Again havent read the manual yet whats the best direction of air flow. I would think the fan closer to the front of the case push air through the heatsink, then the fan towards the back pulls air out towards the back of the case so it can get caught by the rear case fan and shot out the back of the case....this seem better than blowing the warm air to the front of the case (antec 902)

If you want performance get them wired 12v on the Molex adapters. If you don't want the noise then TBH I wouldn't bother adding a secondary fan.

My thinking is I want the performance when I need the performance. when im just surfing the net seems like 2 fans at 2000rpm would be really loud. Isnt the fan control by the Motherboard based on cpu temps so when id be gaming the fans would ramp up to max or I could use some type of fan control program similar to msi afterburner for graphics cards? When I game I usually have a headset on so the noise isn't a big deal then.

The motherboard will never take the fans to 100% IIRC. There isn't an app to control them either AFAIK

120mm fans are only noisy if you get really noisy ones. Get some with a decent CFM without the racket.

Been searching, didnt know this was a feature in the bios...Asus QFAN. Seems like what I want but have to research it more, plus find out if it'll control two fans via Y splitter. I also found this... Speedfan, but dont know if i can trust it.

Speedfan is hit or miss. I guess it depends on the chipset and sensors ETC but for me it was reporting a CPU temp of 128c

I think you are better off getting a separate manual fan controller that sits in the 5.25" bay.
