Getting ready to build, buying 2nd fan for push pull on my cooler master hyper 212+. Asus p6x58d-e has one cpu header. The two fans are labeled 0.36 Amps and while i haven't looked in my manual an internet search says the header is rated for 2A. So can i simply use a Y splitter like this...My link. I want the fans to both be under the same control (matching speed and what not...fans will be identical).
They also sell a cable that plugs into the header and contains a molex connector to draw power from the psu and then you can connect multiple fans, but im thinking this would be overkill.
Again havent read the manual yet whats the best direction of air flow. I would think the fan closer to the front of the case push air through the heatsink, then the fan towards the back pulls air out towards the back of the case so it can get caught by the rear case fan and shot out the back of the case....this seem better than blowing the warm air to the front of the case (antec 902)
