Psu Help

Hey all,

was asked for help with a frends pc,

wont turn on,

the psu is a Silver Power Blue Lightning 600W,

i flick the switch at the back and it goes blue,

when i hit the on button the psu fan led's flash for a second, n die,

then i disconnected it all n tried jumpstarting it, (green n black)

again, it just flashes n dies,,,

i'm guessin it means the psu is ded,

can you confirm this??

Certainly sounds that way. Maybe check the cables to make sure that nothing is shorting. Out of interest does the fan in the unit even try to turn?

didnt notice,,, the led's flashed for the shortest amount of time,

so i dont think the fan would even get goin in that time,,,

i'll check if nethin in shortin,,

other wise its new psu ville,,,
