You get:
Blu Ray Player
Internal Wi-Fi
Larger HD(60GB)
=$600USD (Soon to be $500)
Then here you have the 360:
Premium bundle:
20GB HD
Normal Game System
-------------------
For most people, add on the following:
Wireless Adapter-$100
Larger HD(120GB)-$180
HD DVD Player-$200
=$400(Premium)+$480(Accessories)
Total: $880.
I mean sure, the PS3 isn't that mature yet, better games are still coming out, and the controllers need to be worked on, but really the PS3 isn't that expensive when comparing it to the 360 for the same features. Sure the 360 includes a headset, so you can add $24 to the PS3's price.
name='nathan' said:but not everyone would want those extra's, but the way sony have done it, your forced to. i mean, i wouldnt want a bluray or hddvd drive. With the ps3 im forced to pay for something i wouldnt want or use.
I think the ps3 will do well in the end. But im my opinion it is expensive for what i would use it for.
name='v a d e R`' said:However, for $500 it's not that big of a difference. Look at all the stuff you get in the PS3 compared with the 360. I'm not saying that these features are for everyone, but anyone that would just want a larger HD or a wireless antenna, or a nex gen playback machine would end up saving money with the PS3.
name='nathan' said:i see what your saying, (o and £250 is alot of money! well to a porper like me). Wonder what % of people would want the extra's.
At the same time, if you are getting an HD console, it's very possible you may use it on your monitor (not definite, just saying). Better game SOON****, plus that's all subjective (Halo 3 anyone?). Just playing devil's advocatename='v a d e R`' said:Well now most people that will use consoles extensively have wireless internet. Most people also don't want to/cant run an Ethernet to their living room, so I think the wireless is a major advantage. Throw in Blu-Ray, the larger HD, and better games soon, and you've got a great system really.
Sony needs to work on the PR though that's for sure![]()

It justs too expensive to throw in imo!

name='v a d e R`' said:It's still a good value. Yea they're focing it on us, but if you think about it, Blu-Ray or not, if a larger HD or wireless are something that you'd end up buying for a 360 or whatever, then the PS3 is the bese value of those 2. It's pricy, and if you dont use Wi-Fi, Blu-Ray, or more than 20GB space, then the 360 would be a better value. However, if any of those features would be used by you then really thr PS3 is the best value. Once they start getting better games, and hopefully add rumble to the controllers, I think the PS3 will do really well![]()
name='nathan' said:i agree the ps3 could do really well, so long as they get there arse in gear and get some more good games out.
