ps3 help!

My friends grandson has put a sky tv card in the playstation3 in the cd rom drive,im wondering if there will be a way of getting it out. don't worry about warranty just getting the tv card out is key!! thanks for any advice

hmm try ejecting and see it it moves it. turn it so the cd drive is face down and shake it up and down.

take the CD DRIVE apart might be abit fiddly or just the case might do it.

if its the fat ps3, turn it off at the back - hold the eject button and turn it on whilst holding down the eject button - the fans will blow loudly for about 30 seconds and eject the disc (emergency eject).

If its a slim ps3 im afriad i cant help if the button doesnt work

I was reading the self test thing that makes fans blow at full speed can cause damage to the PS3 as it overheats it but tbh not too sure if it's true or not

Was reading the error it produces is the same error for overheating and some people have said their PS3's experienced problems or became faulty after doing it. (quick search on google/youtube will show results)

If it's really stuck in there you may need to take it apart, pressing the eject button with the ps3 on should give the same effect as the self test. Altho would you want to turn it on knowing there's something in it?

ok no joy ive just found out its a ps3 slim! he wants me to open it up because i can build a computer and thinks i automatically know what to do when ive told him i wouldn't have a clue really.
