Project: Ying & Yang
The aluminium will be getting polished up once I get my hands on an orbital polisher. I really like the aluminium and white acrylic combination, I think it looks really clean and uncomplicated. Each to their own I suppose
I have thought of a name for the project, it will now be known as Ying & Yang!
Ying=Simplistic exterior, minimilistic styling
Yang=High specced interior
It's the best I can come up with after being up since 1am this morning

Thanks! Yes I am going to coat it with some laquer, it shows fingerprints up way too easily with the aluminium just polished.

wjat kind of sand paper did you use for the aluminium
and the Aluminium with the white looks aight, but i reckon you could make it look alot better

well done mateCheers. I started off using an orbital sander with 120 grit to get the paint off. Then I used wet & dry 600, 800 and finally 1200 grit to get an good finish. It took quite a few hours to finish the sanding but it was worth it.
I tried polishing by hand but it was still pretty dull, so I am going to redo the polishing once everything else is finished with an orbital polisher. I am just waiting for the one I want to come into stock at argos - it's only 7 quid odd. As I mentioned earlier, I am going to be giving the aluminium a coat of laquer too, as it marks too easily. I caught the bare aluminium with my wedding ring the other night and it left a right scratch mark. It took me ages to get it out.
One or two peeps have said that the front panel is too plain, I like it like that but would welcome any suggestions anyone has. I am going to be installing a fan under the front grille, which will be lit with LED's, but I'm not sure which colour yet. It will have to tie in with the overall lighting scheme.
I managed to get another job done last night, and got the cables tied up a bit. It was a tricky job, as the PSU isn't modular and the cables on the TX650 are quite long. Here's a couple of snaps:

I got another job done the other day, and installed the lighting:
I still haven't managed to sort out the front panel, as I have been busy with work. I am still waiting for the liquid dye too, and have still got to polish up the aluminium. I am getting there slowly but surely

I've got a Aurora 570 and all mine are shuved inside the drive bay
If you look at the drive bays from the right hand side, there is a gap between them and the chassis. I took the PSU cables across the top, down the gap so they were in between the drive bays and chassis and then brought them out where they were needed. I will try and get some snaps to show what I mean in a bit if you want? Some of the other cables were pushed under the mobo and routed around it. I nearly done the same as you till I noticed the gap.
very clean look and nicely done. Especially like how you removed the HDD rack (it blocked most of the incoming airflow) And eliminating the bulge in the lower front is also nice.
I think if you dropped the on/off button below the DVD and added another 120mm grill/intake above the DVD the airflow would be increased as well as adding a bit of symmetry to the front..
Any way to make the DVD face flush with the front?

Hope this helps mate, the cables are passed down through a little gap between the drive cages and the mobo tray. The slack is hidden from view as you can see. It isn't perfect, but it does it's job

Wow nice case Stu!
There are quite a few that need drilling out. There are 4 connecting it to the optical drive bays (2 at front, 2 at back), then there are 4 fixing it to the floor. There's another 2 or 4 connecting it to motherboard tray.
