I'm definentally OC'ing the balls off it. No more than 1.55v, tho. I'm being strict about that. :o

Picking up from where I left off..

I modded my case two days ago, here's some pix0rs, I hope you all like it. :) This is the first case mod I've actually performed myself, with no help from my dad... and I'm pretty impressed with it.

Plannin it out. Always fun. As you can see the first hole, is drilled. :)

A crude but useful cutting tool. Used to cut windows in side panels. Takes out small chunks of metal. Quick, easy, safe.

Ahh... muwhhahaah.

....yey! The hole = cut. Now time to drill the fan screw holes.

Black and Decker ftw.

Drilled :). Quite easy as this case is SOOOOOOO thin.

Look's kinda rough but hey...

Place a grill on and it looks ok.. but that's a small grill I jacked from an Antec PSU.

Put a full sized grille on and BAM! Looks great IMO.

Ahh the insides. Like teh neatness? Like teh GeForce 2? Picture a 7900GT in there with a pimp Zalman VF700 CU. Drool! :)

Hope you like it so far... on to the hardware.

The following part's are pending.

Sapphire Radeon X1800XT 256MB (link)

And the following part's have been ordered..

Zalman VF-700 Cu Heatsink (link)

So... enjoy the project as it forms.

Ah, sorry..

After a long chat with |3ourne, we've both decided that an X1800XT would be the best choice for me. Plus, it overclocks better than the 7900GT... in turn will perform better while looking better too.

The 7900GT has some seriously hard to bypass OVP... you have to replace resistors and crap and well, I'm not up to that quite yet.

So... look forward to some Benches with the X1800XT & Zalman :).

I might not use the Zalman though. As I am back to the Super Lanboy, the rear-exhausting stock heatsink may be the better choice, even with a top blowhole.

The fecken beast has arrived buwhwahah.

Here it is, fresh from newegg.

Buwhaha let's open this biatch.

Rofl, nice label.

Anyway, let's take it downstairs and take a closer look, shal we?

Nice card, shoddy sticker on the heatsink. Out with that!

Thnx to my buddy Googone, now I have a hot ATi chick on my card :D.

Installz0red :D. It was a PITA to get it into my small case but it fit.

Now, the card idled in the high 50's with the stock cooler, AT STOCk. So, I threw the Zalman on there. Some people (ugh, freakin noobs) were complaining that the Zalman didn't cool as well as the stock cooler. WTF Mate, right? Tighten the beast down really hard and it cools AWESOME.

Mid FOURTIES idle, and I havn't broken 65 degrees centigrade yet, playing Source totally max0red at 700/800 stable :D.

Nice heatsink imo.

Low rider :p. Haha, makes good contact, REALLY close to the little metal things around the core... but it's good :D.

Oh yea, my dad got this yesterday too..

Pwn.

Heres a screenie from my ATiTool.

The first temp is the Voltage Regulators, the Second Temp is the Core, the Third Temp is Ambient.

Benches to come!

Hell yeah dude, great score! Love that heatsink on ur vid card too, that's off the chain.

What kind of temps are you getting with it compared to with the stock hsf?
