Project Ultima [Build log]

Sooo... I'm a perfectionist, and I wasn't really satisfied with a work I've done on that "main" board on which everything important will go.. So I decided to scrap it and make another one on a CNC machine and this is the new Corel drawing (yes, I had to learn to use 1 more program..) which will be final, and this is how the board came out :D
Also, I will probably scrap those plexi backplates too, so I'll make a new more precise ones soon :)

This build is looking really good.
Shame about EK, can't imagine how I'd react to a response like that. I'm happy you didn't let it stop you though, because I want to see this thing finished ^^

Thanks CloneageDK. Well they are not the first scumbags I encountered in my life, and I really wasn't prepared for that from a company like theirs, but you learn something every day.. Next time, they won't take me by surprise like that :)
And btw, Bitspower will probably come to the rescue once again! I'll post it when the decision is final :D

Careful how you respond about companies in a public forum. They may have been unhelpful here, but they could also be following your progress. You never know, you might want assistance from them in the future.

As I probably already said.. I don't expect or want any assistance from them in the future, and I most certainly won't ask them for any assistance.. I simply don't want to risk my projects on those liars ever again :)

If they approach me to do some review or sponsor some new project, ehmm I'll think about it, but it won't be the other way around for sure..

Text update time :D

Great news all around today.. *Bitspower flying to the rescue once again* and they will probably cover those radiators I'm missing cause of EK. Cooler Master on the other hand is extending their sponsorship and they will give me some Jetflo and Silencio fans, and Vanguard 1000W Power supply on top of all of those peripherals I already got from them! And I'm waiting for a response to see if I will get a couple of SSDs, cause I only have 2 Intel's and I need 4 for this build.

This is just a text update, cause I'm hard at work to finish everything on time, and I really don't have enough time to process the pictures of the work I did and post them.. So you will get one BIG update when I finish most of the work!

Had a little time to process some of the pictures and here is a "little" update :D

Main board and plexi backplates finally together :D

Pump holder and vent holes drilled trough horizontal boards

Some bolts, nuts and holder ready for painting (shoe box cover), and sadly not all of them turned out great, so I will decide later what I'll do with them..

And finally I started mounting things on the wall..
This is the first support board:

I drilled into the board so the nut won't stick out of it

And this is from the other side of the wall, where it doesn't matter if everything sticks out:

Light switch for my room was in the way of one of the support boards, so I had to make a hole for it (you can see that switch in my first design drawing)

And both support boards are in place and leveled :)

More sanding was done and the new more precise SSD backplates are finished!

Also, Bitspower sent two 360 radiators, CoolerMaster PSU and fans should arrive by the end of the week, and I ordered Mayhems dye which should arrive next week.. All is coming together nicely, just need a couple of SSD's, but still no news about them :(

A number of you guys on forums were concerned will I finish this project on time for the Cooler Master's Case Mod 2015 competition.. So, just to let ya all know that I'm entering the final stretch :D

Frames on both side of the wall are drilled and the corresponding holes in the wall itself

And the main board is finished

I will post a couple of updates if I get time to do them, but that should be enough for now :D

PS. Still waiting for some SSD sponsors... Nobody answered yet :(

Had a bit of time to post you some things :D

Gotta love the lightning! Whats that thing in between the fans at your last picture? What is and what is it used for?

@Cucumber, Yes I did, but not all the parts I need have still arrived, so I don't know if I'll finish it in time.. Nevertheless it will be my best build so far even if I don't get any awards for it :D

@CreatiXx, It's a fan hub, but it's not exactly working properly (it won't work on Low setting), so I won't use it in the build and I'm just using it to test fans.. You can find it on Aliexpress.com

@Baracus, Thanks, I guess?? :D Yeah, that took about 1-2 hours per tube to make.. It's veryyyy hard to do it with hard 16mm tubes with such small space to work with..
