Hey guys! I always love reading other people's work logs and I thought it would be cool if I posted one as well, So here it goes!

The project is called "The Canadian" as it says in the banner I made.
smile.gif
The reason for the name is because I am Canadian and I guess I just wanted to have a unique name, aha. So I'm kind of stating out the obvious but the color scheme will be red and white, and the case I will be working with is the NZXT Vulcan mATX case. Now, Iv'e seen many people water cool their rigs with this case, but most of them put the radiator on the top exterior of the case, My goal is to have everything inside the case, Including both the CPU and GPU under water and 2 radiators on the inside of this case. So lets just jump right into it! I have been working on this for a week now, don't worry I haven't done a lot yet

.

Here are some 3D models of what I want it to look like, Sorry I'm a total noob at any other 3D software you guys use for case models, so I just use C4D because i'm use to it

I will also be using some white carbon fiber vinyl for some parts of the front of the case just to make it "pop" haha
biggrin.gif

Let the painting begin! So I didn't take pictures of me priming or anything but here is the second coat drying.

By the way, This is all one post because I started this work log a bit late, but I only finished some painting

Paint dry!

So assembling most of the case back! Still don't have the front because I want to wait a little longer for it to cure, since its plastic, just being careful

So lets say, I guess 70 percent of the case is painted so far, But I still have a ways to go!

Can't wait till I get some water cooling gear.

Oh! Also picked up this bad boy today!

I love red and white themed builds

. It will be interesting to see how everything looks once fitted in the case.

P.S. Welcome to OC3D

I would now like to thank my newest sponsor! Dazmode!

Hehe, Irene and Kitty are so chill, I enjoyed talking with them about this case mod!

Update! So to allow a dual radiator to stand up in the front of the case, I will need to remove the 5.25" drive bays, but I am using a single slot pump/reservoir unit, so my idea is to cut the drive cage but leave 1 slot still available! This will allow a perfect space for the radiator and still have room to mount that pump/res. unit!

Man, It is real cold outside here is Canada, sucks for me the garage is the only place I can do my Dremel work. hehe

Also! Aquatuning goodies have arrived! Big thanks to them!

More updates to come guys! And the next ones will be bigger!

Update!

Alright, so I got two shipments in! One of them from EK Waterblocks! Just want to thank them again for the support! I have received one EK Supreme HF CPU water block with the EK white top. I honestly love the look of the waterblock since the minute I opened it up. The second item that came in the mail was an Intel I5 2500K CPU, I won't be going with a 2600K because that's what I'm running in my main build at the moment.

Thank you to EK Waterblock's for sponsoring this build!

So only a couple more thing's to order and I will be able to add tubing and fill the system up! I have decided to go with a Radeon 6970 by the way!

So after I test the CPU on the motherboard I will install the CPU block and take some more pictures, also I will be creating that cover to cover up that ugly front bay portion. Thanks for reading! PS: I'm over the stomach flu and back to normal!
biggrin.gif

Alright, so first off was the PSU cover/bottom compartment cover. Since I had a radiator sitting on the bottom of the case as well, I thought putting the cover over the rad and fan was not such a good idea, since the fan wouldn't be breathing in fresh air, and it would be trapped underneath the cover. So I thought about it for a while, not figuring out I could just cut a hole in the cover for the fan to breath! So that is exactly what I did. Started out with an aluminum panel, then cutting it to size.

After bending it to shape I then test fit the fan/radiator to make sure everything was going smoothly, and it fit! Very happy with the outcome so far!

Alright, so it fit, obviously the bare aluminum wouldn't be that appealing in the case, since I used white carbon fiber vinyl to accent parts of the case, why not cover the aluminum with it? It would look good! What do you think?

scaled.php

Also forgot the mention that I have completed the small cover that goes on top of the side of the drive bay rails, in the above picture as well
smile.gif

Next step was to install the power and reset switches, now I have never used vandal switches before, and I mean NEVER so it was fun messing around with them, came with no diagram on which wire goes where, but I figured it out. Now the trick was, How do I get both to light up with there is only 1 PLED+ and PLED- on the motherboard, with some extra wire I ordered and some zip ties, I got it!

My camera is making the white LED look blue, don't worry, in person it is white, I'll try to adjust some settings so it will show the right color
biggrin.gif

Now installed on the front of the case!

Also, I ordered the coolant from Dazmode and just got it in the mail, and I think I found the best thing ever...

scaled.php

Well, they're gone now, couldn't resist, and man they tasted good!

I will be taking more pictures of the entire case so you can see what it fully looks like as of now in the coming days, probably tomorrow, and my waterblock has just entered Canada, pretty excited about that!
