Hi all here at Overclock3d.net!

I´m new here and have a project that I would like to present to you!

Let me introduce Project Silent Shadow, This is my first Modding project.

The main thing with this project is that I´m going to build a computer chassi from ground up.

The color theme that the build have is Black and Red, I will also try to keep it as clean as possible. I will also make this an all watercooled build.

The chassi is going to be made out of aluminum, what methods I will be using to get all the cheetmetal as I want, I will have to figure that out as I go.

The hardware That is going in to this build will come during everything but I know one thing and that is the PSU that the Swedish company Fractal Design is sponsoring with, it´s an Newton R2 800W, witch I will be sleeving.

Hope that this is making some OC3D members interested in following my journey.

Keep in touch updates is coming soon:)

Excuse my English, it´s not all good but I hope you understand what I´m writing.

Big thanks to:

Okey then it was time for the first update with pictures!

First out is a set of pictures from the sleeving process, some of the sleeving is self, some after pictures and a picture of the aluminum that is going to be used:)

Hope it suits you!

Fun with so many replys:D

yes I´m going to have a quad radiator in the bottom of the case:)

@daantjuh44: I havn´t figured that out yet, I dont think I will laser cut it since that is a bit to expensive, I´m looking in to if a friend maybe able to help me in his CNC, otherwise I going to do it oldschool in an ordinare cutter.

@adicool96: no I first time i see it since you mention it:) I have designed this case my self.

The PSU is plased also similar to the TJ07 case, its placed in the bottom with the fan taking air from the other side:) I will see if I can upload a picture of that side aswell:)

right now its going abit slow but hope to gett time to work on this as soon as possible:)

best regards

Patrik

Thanks:)

I´m using an Nikon D60 with either an 18-55mm 1:3,5-5,6G or 55-200mm 1:4-5,6G lenses:)

and much fiddling around with settings;)

I hope that I will get the camera clean so the pictures will be great later on:)

Thats nice man hope u get that camera clean. Have you done any previous builds/mods? And also can you tell me the measurements of the aluminium that your gonna use for each part like the bottom, top, etc. Sorry for bothering you but im thinking about making my own chassis design and it would be really helpful. Thanks in advance.

Nope this is my first build I have done some minor mods before but nothing major and worth mention.

Sorry but I don´t want to tell all the measurements until maybe after the project ends, hope that you understand.

But i can give you some advise, look at other chassis big tower and midi tower depending on how big you want it to be, and the take the measurements on the components, and then figure out how you will be able to fit everything in there:)

one big thing to think of is if you going to watercool everything or if you will use air then you have to think different but that you maybe already know;)

The thickness of the aluminum is up to you aswell, I have gone with 2mm and 5mm, but this also depends on how you will put everything together:) I know that some modders like to use 1mm and max 2mm but then it might be hard to get the design great, then its lots of bending of the metal to get all panels to fit together.

Hope you understand and that my tips will help you, if you got more questions just ask them:) and I will try to help you:)
