looks awsome, all but one thing

if it were me, i'd swap out the tacky thermaltake psu, for somthing a little more solid, say, the tagan 1100W ...

tagan make awsome psu's, thermaltake do not.

other than that, thats some awsome power :D

Thermaltake's ToughPower's kick Tagan's whole linup's ass. They make some good value oriented units as well.

tbh, i'm not a thermaltake fan

i like some of there cases, namely the tsunami dream, having owned one, i really liked it, but there componants are not to my liking

exept ofcorse the giant cooler they did, cant remember what its called, hexus did a huge review of cpu coolers, and that came out ontop of the tuniq tower and loads of others, it came out, on top, out of like 60 coolers, that looks good too

my other recomendation would be the pcp&c silencer 750W, cos tbh, in that rig, i dont see the need for 1200W, and the pcp&c although more expensive, would be more stable, would last longer, etc etc etc

just a thought :)

Two Ultra's and an QX6700 @ stock would be perfect on a Corsair HX620w.

If he wants to get the quad to say 3.5GHz and get some more out of the Ultra's, I'd say a Toughpower 850, Enermax Galaxy DXX 850w, or even Antec's new TPQ-850 which kicks some serious ass (Truepower Quad 850w).

Read JonnyGuru's reviews, and then look at the prices. You'll be a convert in about 5 minutes. I had the added bonus of picking up a cheap, used 750W one ;)

this rig is hot!

Waiting is up to you, but when the 9800 comes out there will be a faster card to suceed it, you could spend your life waiting :) lol..

Also, if this is true, a guy under NDA disclosed the 9800 is a refresh and not the beast that was promised...

No DX10.1 support

No tesselation unit

No eDRAM

No built in audio proc

Up to 50% faster than an ULTRA in some specific cases, generally 20-30% faster...

Good but not double the Ultra performance that was first rumoured...

In specific instances... As in the odd benchmark.

It seemed the 20-30% was the general performance increase, which i snothing to be sniffed at.

I just hoped dx10.1 was supported.

Right, off to build my rig... :D
