Hi guys. This is for the WCUK modding comp 2009

PICTURE TIME!!!

First thing, these cases are chunky!!! About an extra one and a half inches wide compared to most cases...fat little buggers....

Anyways :

Ive got my plans all in my head with my final design sketched onto the retina of my eye ball...

Will start doing this some time soon...but lets get xmas out of the way first..

Right. Gutted the case, kind of mocked up what i was doing and took some pics...

BTW> these cases are lovely, if they put some more time into the aesthetics then theyd be great, so much to do,.....it was nearly a shame to take the drill to it..ha ha. but it was fun!!

Update

Right. did some more thinking today, and this is turning into a completely new build, Ive basically stripped the cases down to their basic sheet metal state, and now im rebuilding it in my own little way. ha ha

Anyways. I started off by filing off the tabs which are just horrible...these didnt take more than 5 minutes to do, but need a vigorous bit of rubbing action ( oh ai!! XD)

Then after this I started to build it all together and start putting some ideas into practice.

This is what I did, and how its looking now, and maybe you can see my idea moving forward little by little...

A little layout design, im going to put a special lid on this one...i think youll like it....think of the project purple side panel then ill be doing something similar with this lid...gonna be...interesting...

This is where my phase unit is going to sit, im hoping it will have its own sort of wind tunnel, this will help keep overall temps down and also allow me to stop the vibrations using neoprene...

I want this to be the ultimate in cooling cases, with airflow being maximised across all of the major components...this needs to be perfect for me as this case isnt just for the modding comp but for me to use as a 24/7 phase overclocked to the max rig...

i would like to say its sat in my shed waiting to be finished...but...i kinda just kept the panels and then used the base and what id made as a nice firepit one night to have a nice gathering of friends at my place on a lovely summers day/.

So it went to good use and melted....XD

it wasnt a waste..it saved being screamed at by my ex for setting the lawn on fire XD ..

nothings ever a waste if it stop the women complaining (no sexism or offensive behaviour intended btw)
