Nope desktop grade cpus are not made for the socket in my laptop

I didn't think they were :lol:. I can't wait to see that 3GHz!

Bought some resistors for overvolting the new cpus because im going for 3ghz and over

The laptop is dead now, so this may be the last update unless i fix the motherboard somehow. Anyway the project was sucessfull with 50% overclock (1.8ghz>2.6ghz), but i wanted to go higher i planned 3.2ghz and then 3.9ghz). 6 cpus are probably going on my key ring.

there may be a chance of reviving it but i need to buy a resistor,solder and a more precise tip for my Soldering Iron

Good luck man, would be a shame if she's truly dead but she's done some real work and is no.1 in the world!
