How about building it into a plexi box which will fit into most drawers?

I like that idea. Then you can just cut a hole in the back of the drawer to run cables etc.

Yeah, if you wanted to go the whole hog, you could even put the top of the box on hydrolics.

OK some good news (depends on how you look at it)

New bedroom furniture is on hold due to we'd rather change the car first (thats the bad bit, a little more expensive than furniture) so the drawer idea lives on.

Time to recover the carboard templates from the bin and crack on
