Meh didn't think people needed to see pictures of acrylic or boxes of little screws and zip ties, lollers.

Edit: Decided to mount up one of the NV-78's to check the fit. Fits spot-on! Everything matches up just right and has good solid contact, a definate winner from DD mefinks. I've forgotten to get a new set of OCZ copper BGA ramsinks for the topside though, I'll have to pick those up sometime before installation day :)

Thanks man! I can't wait till the case / phase unit is done so I can start installing and get it operational. It will be such a glorious day!!! :smoke:

Nice!

That block is t3h sex.

This is going to be the beastiest of beasties when its done Frag w00ts!

BTW: Full project log required I reckon mate - this one'll be famous :)

Wirelessly posted (Nextel BB7520: BlackBerry7520/4.0.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)

Update:

Just signed for the mobo and dvd burners :D. Now all I'm waiting on is the case/cooler and some small misc odds and ends.

Going to start my plexiglass ram cooling project tonight when I get home. Gotta find the dremel and all of the bits. Sure wish I had a freakin scroll saw!

I'll be sure to take tons of pics for that little side project, just hope it turns out as nice as I had imagined!

Edit: Pix!

Pix of the RAM cooler in progress... As you can see the plexi pwnt me on this run and cracked in a few places. Going to try again tomorrow or sometime this weekend and see if I can't pull out a solid undamaged piece. It's hard as hell to not crack the plexi when ur drilling that close to the side. I think what I'm going to do on the mosfet side is mount the fans with only 2 screws and orient the 2 that I will use up and down rather than side to side, then when I drill I'll be drilling in the middle of the plexi and nowhere near the side. I might do the same on the RAM side just to keep the look consistent. I'll ponder it a bit more tomorrow. I have a good template now though!

UPS just dropped off some more trinkets :) Here we have all of the fans!

Got a total of 12 120mm fans. The thick ones are the high volume fans for the radiator, the slim ones are the lower volume ones which are the case fans. Bitchin'! Delta makes some nice fans :D

LOL and also whats the point of high end sounds cards and speakers if you can only hear the lovely frequency soup (high and low) of a shedload of fans

naw looks amazin fraggy shd b a fantalamastic rig .... can i have ur old one ???

@Kemp: Thanks mate! Took me an hour or two to get the layout mapped perfect and get all of the measurements and then another hour or two to get it all cut out. Not to worry though I ordered up a nice 1.5" hole saw and a nice aluminum t-square for the next one. Should turn out perfectomondo :) Glad you like the idea, it should be sweet when it's all done!

Yeah comp is in my room too, lol. I've gotten used to sleeping with my current comp, i don't suppose this one will be too much worse than what I'm working with now.

@Joe: Glad to see you doing some posting again mate! You shant stop dissapearing from the forums like you do... And no u can't have mah old one! :p

Look awesome from the specs and all the parts I can see. Looking forward to seeing the project going, that's some serious moding you are doing here!

One question, why do you need so many fans if you use phase and water cooling? Though that using those technics you could get rid of all those noisy fans, except the ones for the radiator!

i was under the impresion they were quiet...not that it matters because deltas will probably be heard from my house.

hey mate, how loud is the compressor on the phase unit going to be, compressors are usually shitloud

Nah refrigeration compressors are quiet. It produces a low, dull hum. Think of your refridgerator when it's compressor is running, its like that but lower.

You're thinking of air compressors which are loud :)

@youpla: The ambient temperature inside the case still needs to remain low. You have to think of the other parts which aren't cooled by some advanced means. Such as the RAM, PWM's, video card RAM on the top side of the card, etc.

Man this makes me wanna go out and buy all this stuff for my pc lol!!

Great stuff Frag and look forward to seeing the completed system!! :worship:

Well chilly has been in and out of the hospital lately with a super bad case of the flu and is trying to recover. Unfortunately he hasn't gotten any work done on anyones system for the last few weeks so everything has been pushed back until he gets better :(
