Project log: cube case built from scratch.

Looks nice :)

I like the idea of having a perspex sidepanel. Looks a lot better than loads of windows that people do (badly) :D

Its as solid as a rock. I'm willing to bet it would support my 15 stone carcass if i stood on it! look at my very first post in this thread and you will see the bare frame. 3mm thick angle aluminium welded together. the plating is also 3mm thick and when bolted in place adds to the strength.

a) the weight? .....don't really know. Its quite heavy i will try to weigh next time I get the opportunity.

b) corner covers? probably not, its a bit rough and ready at the moment. ehen i finish the panels a bit more i will take a file and round them off.

outstanding! Thank you :)

I'm going to be working on the front panel this weekend. At the moment it looks like this:-
get.php

I want to

1) finish the bottom of the case, these are the air intake holes for the radiator.

2) fit the reset switch. I was thinking of putting it directly below the power switch.

3)Cut holes for 2 x 120mm fans to draw air into the upper sections of the case.

a quick paint to show placement

The front looks awesome...and will be better when you match the paint up :)

Why thankyou Kempez, I'm glad some one likes it!

I will also be adding 3 small temp displays and an Alphacool LCD-Display 240x128 Pixel Blue neg (Silver Frame) when our friends at specialtech get them back in stock. This should fill up the space at the top left of the front panel and ballance out the overall look.

If you moved the drives back a bit and set them behind another metal pannel with a metal handle. Magnetic catch, and your sweet. I think the minimal look would be great, if only you hide the drive.

Personally Im not a big "FLASH" fan. I prefer to believe the inside matters most.

(people and computers)

I think your comp is very well done.:worship:

Still Waiting Chris?

I've finally been able to see the pictures and oh my, you've done a good job.

I do think that the lighting should be visible on both fans in the centre and through the bottom. I can't remember if you said you had to move it or scrap it or something..lol.

Sorry, if I've awakened, what appears to be a dead thread lol
