I allways wanted a Voodoo2 sli setup. But when your teenager you can't buy everything you want. So i have decided to build my dream gaming rig from the era 1999/2000 agian. With all Epic highend parts. The dual voodoo2 cards and the motherboard cpu and memory i bought used from the local ebay.

In this video i show the hardware and the options for the build. And more background info in the description.

Testbuild! It's much safer to test the hardware in a case then on my desk. For so far the setup is stable and with windows 2000 no errors ;)

But the build isn't cool without a great case! So my choice is the Aopen HQ45!! The most known ugly case ever! No cooling option allmost no hd bays.

I don't gonna use the ugly front.

I needed to do lots of grinding and sawing to put 2x 80mm fan in the back.

I made this new HD rack. Its looks awesome and fill up the space in the front. There will be a big sidewindows to show all the epic expension cards

This build is my ultimate retro 3d gaming rig. With my voodoo2 back in 1998 i went from software rendering to 3d gaming. Everyone knows the moment he fist played with his 3dfx card! I gonna make more video's about the build and offcourse post pictures. The theme of the casemod is HALFLIFE!!
is for Quake2 Halflife1 NFS3 NFS5 Porsche etc.

Checkout my youtube channel for more video's about my ZFS NAS, Workstation, Switchmod etc!

I have the perfect front cover. Nice edges good profile inside. The only problem is the case is 200mm and the cover 205. :(

So its sticks out 2.5mm on both sides. I can saw the frontcover in 2 parts. but reattach them is not so pretty as 1 plate. Or i can make the sides wider....

So how do you solve this if your where building? :)

nice hdd racks, cut 5mm out in the middle and reattach it... easy maybe just do something like this: (not fully thought out but its an idea)
attach the new cover and dianglle 2.5mm piece on each side to make it the old case size
