How much does that cost ???

LOTS :) Most definitely. A second mortgage mate. But it's worth it. :)

Seriously, the Gt, the PC60 and the complete chrome effect alu (which is totally awesome by the way) costs about £1500.

Phil - on the photo of the chrome PC, the MachII looks more aluchrom finish than chrome is it just a trick of the light? Is there 'owt u can do about the floppy being beige - that's soooo last year!

sw

Trick of the light - like you said before it's really tricky taking good photos of chrome. The floppy is actually silver, not hearing-aid beige, and I couldnt get a bezel to fit it properly unfortunately, but I can always remove it.

Dont even bother with the floppy phil...

the mach 2 alu kit looks awesome...better than the case itself from the pics :D

gotta see that finished....

lookin nice there phil, you gonna put some coating over the Alu ? It will get dull over time otherwise..

OMG that is seriously sexy phil! the £1500 is that including the case and the mach2GT or is that just for the chroming of the existing panels?

That's including - its everything you see there apart from the watercooling.

hehe nope. It's not chrome mate - it's anodised - it wont fade and it wont chip like chrome - which is why it's soooo much better :)

so its actually an anodised coating that polished, smart idea, very smart..

(just for those that dont know, anodising is basically oxidising aluminium so when exposured to air it wont fade or dull)

Got it in one - I could have got it chromed, as I had intended originally but after I found out how much it would have set me back *just* to get the panels chromed, and then to hear that it *will* fade and *could* chip easily I was sort of put off :)

Update

Sunday update:

I've spent some time tonight on cable management. There's nothing worse IMHO than a really nice system spoilt by masses of cables - unfortunately the more complex your rig and the more parts you introduce, the mores cables it will have - so management is very important. It not only looks good, it helps with the airflow, and also makes the job of replacing components easier next time round.

This system is reasonably complex - it has the GT to consider, plus the waterchill system so there are cables galore - and when you introduce two optical drives, two Sata drives and a powerful gpu you have your work cut out.

I've used cable ties where appropriate on the reverse side of the chassis and I will route some cables behind the motherboard. I will try and bind the sata cables and the power/hd/led and reset wires have been braided, along with the USB cables. It's pretty tidy all things considered.

During the week I will be replacing the Vantec Stealth fans with some Silenx fans, both in 80mm and 120mm flavours. I want this system as silent as possible. All things considered, apart from the replacement front panel, its virtually ready for my FX53.

Looking good phil

what colour braiding youre using?

i am using the clear spiral wrap which is great but i am thinking braiding is the way to go...

i am using blue CC as well... could u give me more details on what exactly did you buy and where from as far as the braiding is concerned...

got an enermax so i may wanna braid it instead :D...

got the el wire i was telling you about..usb but its aqua and not as strong as i would like it to be... oh well...

i really hate the crappy conector on the end of my PSU to plug it into the mobo, its compatible with other mobos 2, its anoying and as ugly as hell :( i might change my tagan 480w soon, it is nice but its not excellent, it makes an anoying noise and that 12v cable is ugly !
