<PROJECT BLOOLI>

Ok update. Bad news and good news today.

Good news is that I have finished the floor and mobo tray and they look very nice indeed, also routed all the cables under the floor and mounted the mobo. Also took delivery of a bloody big, heavy FX5950 Ultra from Phil (Cheers mate :D ) This is such a nice card but I think it's a little wasted atm sitting in my shuttle with the top off cos its so big  LOVELY!!!!!

Bad new is that I turn the thing on and........nothing, not a thing. LED's on the mobo say CPU isn't seated properly or damaged :( After re-seating the proc about six times with no effect I have to assume it's either damaged or the mobo isn't working right. I have emailed the certain company who I bought the CPU off today and await a reply soon hopefully. Just to add insult to injury my Mach2 is up the spout again, neither me or Phil can figure out why because it was fixed about 2 weeks ago

Well thats about it, I shall post pics of the case asap.

Yea sux indeed, looking into getting it sorted soon tho so should be all good and ready to go within the month. Small little hickup will never stop me achieving what I set out to do, just wish companies would pack things properly before shipping

Update 31/5/04

Ok been a while since I posted on here but just a little update on what's going on and where things are as it stands.

I recently ordered an Asus KV8SE Deluxe which should be with me later on this week as my MSI board crapped out which put me back a little but we should be ok now. I've also decided to ditch my current water cooling and get a Thermochill 120:2 rad, Danger Den Maze 4-1 Pelt GPU block, and a Maze 4 chipset block which should be fun installing in the PC65B.

As far as the cosmetics go I have broken another 3 red and 2 blue cathodes so have spent a mini fortune on those things over the past month :( . Also decided to get a Bulgin iluminated power switch the same as Phil sells, got mine from work for nothing tho (i love electronics jobs :D ).

Well all being well I should be up and running by the end of the week with the AMD64 so I'll let ya know how it all goes.

update 7/6/04

Ok I am now running full 64 bit YEY!!!

After my first nightmare with the Mach2 it's all up and running smooth now, and the processor seems fine aswell so double bonus. I will post pics of the machine a little later on today once I have finished the final little touches to it.

As of now the major work on BLOOLI is complete :D

Picture update 13/6/04

Ok guys as promised a little late but still the same. Some Pics of the rig :D

1.jpg

The entire system with the lights on in my room

2.jpg

Other side of the case with my custom airbrushed AMD64 logo on the side :p

3.jpg

Now you can see what I was talking about having the false floor for, all cables are under that and behind the mobo tray.

4.jpg

Shot of the inside through the window kit with the cables kinda tidied.

Continued in next post.....

5.jpg

Shot of the window with the lights off in my room. Doesnt really show how bright the damn thing is lol.

6.jpg

Full system in the dark room, you can also see the green glow of another rig on the other side of the desk glaring on the monitor aswell

7.jpg

Front shot, I removed the front fan mesh because it made the machine noisier and the fans duller.

8.jpg

Finally theres the thing that took me nearly a week to complete. Still need to rub out the pencil marks for getting the middle of the panel but thats my biggest arty thing I've done since school :p

Hope you like, not finished yet, still need to stealth the drives but I can barely move at the moment as I did my back in while freestyle kayaking yesterday, very painful and annoying

More to come when I get the water cooling parts :D

looking good there mate

one thing though

the evap head looks to be stressed the way you have mounted the evap head.

afaik the evap head should be fitted in 2 ways.

one with the evap-capilary tube being on top of the evaporator and another one by turning the evap heads 90 degrees clockwise...

u seem to have turned it anticlockwise so the capilary tube looks stressed creating that weird shape on it...

u sure you have installed it correctly?

Yea I thought the same thing but the evap head wont go on any other way, i tried. Cheers for that, i may try again but i really can't be bothered with it atm seeing as I have a Multiplay LAN coming up and don't wanna mess anything up before then lol.

Still little work to do but its about 85% finished now :D

Still a few little things up my sleeve for this rig yet ;)

I have to agree with you there 'fatty'. My Mach1 mounted the same on my NF7-S v2 as did this Mach2 before I messed it up and switched over to AMD64. I would also like to know if they are ment to mount like this because I don't feel like ripping then entire rig apart again to find it wont mount another way.

Update 18/6/04

Right guys, yet another change has occured. Scarecrow has decided he's not going water cooling after blowing up his Barton 3200+ (haha :p , i can say that i know him, b4 any of u say its not nice lol) anyway, I have accuired his kit and now have a Maze 4 GPU block, 120:2 rad, DD res, Ehiem pump and a load of 1/2" Tygon tubing :D. I will be upgrading the Maze 4 to a 4-1 hopefully very soon but this ones good enough for now.

I mounted the rad after much fiddling its in there nice and tidy aswell. I'l post pics when I have the whole lot in and working. Also a few more things have changed on the machine, but I'l leave those 'till later :D

No mate, I broke the Mach2 because the BIOS on the board was one I flashed with a tictac BIOS so that screwed the Mach2 up. If your going to use the NF7-S with the Mach2 make sure the BIOS is an Abit Bios and NOT a modded one.

As it happens board's fine. Well it was until Scarecrow got his mitts on it and blew it up along with his Barton 3200+ lol :D .

I just swapped to AMD64 so there was no need for it really mate.

My Mach II runs fine on an NF7-S board with a TICTAC modded BIOS! And I don't see how it could mess up your Mach II that is very strange!

I agree with Phil as he is the one who sold me my unit and also sorted it. I just don't want anyone to have the same missfortune I had as they are out of business now and if it does more damage than it did on mine to put it bluntley, you'd be screwed.

To be honest I cant even remember if my bios is modded or not my system has been stable for so long I've fogotten what I left on it???
