[Project]: Big Bro' Prodigy (BitFenix Prodigy E-ATX mod)

That is one epic window! Though I'm still waiting for the post where you're actually fitting the mobo in this case :D
Wonder where you're going to put the PSU as well...

why would you ask something like this??? seems kinda rude to me.

It's a joke mate, I highly doutb it. because of how epic this is going to be it's going to attract a fair amount attention.

The edging was definitely the right way to go. Window looks great! Eagerly awaiting the next update

That's a smart looking window you've got there! Nice job, I like it!

Thanks a bunch! :)

I've loving the idea behind this, this is going to attract a fair amount of people, speaking of which, you got ADHD or something? lol

Thanks but, what do you mean by that? lol.
And to answer you no I do not have ADHD :P Some kind of metaphor? :P

awesome job there so far mate, should be interesting

Thanks a lot once again :)
I will try to look for a perhaps colored edging meanwhile I work on the project, orange or yellow would fit very nice with the color theme.
If not I'll keep it black and perhaps paint it, but let's hope I can find a colored one!

Other than that, please stay tuned! :)
Next step in this projectlog will probaby be where I paint some parts of the case. I just need to find an approporiate place and time to do it :)

Best Regards
Nikkop

Yes, it was meant as a metaphor and I did not intend for it to be taken literally. Those with ADHD do tend to like attention, and this would attract attention due to the very unique idea. That was how I meant it, if you get my drift.

Great looking build so far nikkop , very cool idea and I will be watching this build until its finish. It will be ineresting to see how you fit everything (atx psu and fans ) in such a small case and keep it cool.
Keep up the good work , more updates please.

That band around the window is absolutly genius.
But i am still scratching my head:p on how you are going to get everything inside. But i am sure that it will be awesome:D!!!

Hey Nikkop,

Really is looking good, just going through your thread again and there is some great ideas in here for such a small case with such a giant MOBO that you have planned. I have a Rampage IV Extreme that is huge even in my 600T case!!!!
Really looking forward to seeing the hardware going into this little gem of a case :)

I am playing around with a Prodigy build myself at the moment so check out 'TheOrangeBox' its almost complete, fairly standard in comparison as my build is in its regular form factor for supporting mini ITX mobos as intended but what you have done has openened things right up !!

This is my first attempt for a miniITX build and I like things to be really neat but I don't think that I am achieving this as well as I would like.

Nikkop maybe your way of turning things on its side is the way of achieving a tidy RIG !?

awesome work mate look forward to your updates.

KANEY.

Ah, in that case! lol :)
I was suspecting something like that haha. No problems mate :)

Awesome, i'm looking forward to more updates

Thanks! Just subscribe! :)

Thanks a lot mate!
My vision for this build is, why have empty space in a case if it's not going to be used? :D So let's use up all space we can find!
Subscribe and follow me to find out! :D

loving it mate great work love this case !!

Hi Kaney,

Thanks for your kind words!

Yeah fitting this giant motherboard into a compact case like this sure is fun and an experience!

I've checked your project and it's nice! I saw you've made a window yourself, but in a different way and design, just shows the potential! :D
I also like your color scheme a lot.

Why aren't you satisfied? What would you like to achieve with your Prodigy build?

Thanks once again! :)
Stay tuned and more updates will come :D

Best Regards
Nikkop

hey Nikkop,

cheers man, alas the window was not me but some really cool folks over at KUSTOMPC, I have a window in the roof on its way and with watching your small power house come to life you have inspired me to dremel the other side of my Rig and install that window myself ! so that one will be mine.
I shall keep you posted.

I just want to achieve........ simple, tidy with the feeling of space from such a small Rig. :)

I shall await your updates.

Hi Kaney,

Oh I see! Well I did like that window of yours, completely different style than mine tho :D

Have you gotten the window for the top yet and have you started making your own sidepanel? :D
I've been busy as hell the last weeks with school so I haven't checked your project out, but I'll do so soon!

My vision is to use every possible centimeter/inch out of the case! :D
I'm very excited, my motherboard for this project, the Gigabyte z77x-UP7 should reach me soon enough at the same time as this course in school is being finished. I can then continue on this project! :D

Best Regards
Nikko

That sense of dissapointment when you scroll through an epic build log to find no more updates.... MOAR PICS!!! :p It sounds and looks incredible :D

the window is done extremely well this mod is gonna be awe inspiring i look forward to more updates :D

Hey Nikkop,

Yeah its been a mental busy time recently but always love looking forward to getting my teeth back into the project :)

hahahahaah you absolute mother F%&%*&%* :)
I cant believe you went for that mother board awesome choice dude and such a great mobo AAANNNNNDDD would go perfect in my OrangeBox dont you think, you knew that right :D !!

I have added a pic of the top window, I will place a fan in the top and plan a formation of holes 120m2 in the formation of the BITFENIX logo to let air exhaust through the Acrylic, you have to try these things !!

At the moment The Orange Box is now broken down re primed for a new colour and a re-position of the mobo simlar to yours, sorry mate I have to steel that idea its such a great one :)

Keep the updates coming and hail the 'Gigabyte z77x-UP7' :p
