problems ith dual gtx590 for quad sli

I just finished my 2500k 590 quad sli rig and have been running into some problems. Games hanging ,performance well beyond what i should be seeing and microstutter i thought all of this was fixed with the lastest drivers, or is it that some games mainly older ones just can't deal with quad gpu's if anybody else has ran into this and info as always will be appreciated.

not sure how many here have gone that way yet. But I have a nagging question. Why on earth dd ya go whole hog on gpu's and skimp out on the processor???? Just curious lol. I'm kinda thinking those extra threads might of helped in quad sli. But as far as older games I'm wagering its cause they dont support quad to its fullest so there for you see the degradation. If ya can (I know some mobos allow this) turn off one gpu thru bios or dip switches and see if that helps.

i think its ample. my stock gen 1 i7 barely breaks a sweat when playing the latest graphics intensive games at triple monitor resolutions. 50-60c on crysis 2 and only uses 4 threads compared to prime which hits 76c using 8 threads.

the gpu on the other hand gets flogged

I went with the 2500k is simple when i overclock I tend to disable ht and really the game benches impressed me with the 2500k. Besides my I7 hex core work rig didn't out perform my 219$ 2500k in games with 2 extra cores and i'm not sure any games use hyper threading so i saved 100 bucks for the same or better gaming performance then the 2600k.

I can understand that logic. But I have done 5.1GHz with HT enabled so far

wish I had a definitive answer for ur issue. As if I had the $$ I'd prolly try dual 590's as well lol

This is what i am going to assume, you are probably bottle necking, i have a hard time believing an 2600k under 5ghz will handle 2 590s. Also 4 GPUs will ALWAYS have micro stuttering, that is something that will never be fixed fully. Also the cards are still new and the drivers are still immature. This is what i am assuming.
