Problem with OC3D Forums.

Damn! That is so depressing. I don't know what to do. It's not like it's any different with the other router, with me deleting the history etc., with Windows 7, with the iPad or with Mozilla/Chrome!

Edit:

Wow, no I figured out what the issue was. How stupid is that: I use lastpass to log me in to the forums automatically and I noticed in the split second that there was no check to "stay logged in" (or whatever it says).

So I deactivated the auto-login type deal and checked that box, now everything runs fine. How embarrassing...

didn't i mention that ages ago? didn't want to ask if you had it enabled because it would have been quite embarrassing lol.

Well I never noticed it was off to tell you the truth. I never thought it was off. I usually turn these things on. I don't know if you use lastpass but it would log me in in a second. And just by coincidence in that split second I happen to notice that it was off

Anyways, the main thing is that the problem is fixed.

I still get this 'error'...
I accept it may be a problem at my end so if anyone can brainstorm possible ideas to fix it that'd be great.

I have 2 desktops in my room at the moment, both running through ethernet to the same router. If I log in on one, then go to the other and refresh the page, I've been logged out. Regardless of what I click for remember me it does the same. Also exactly the same when I do it from my phone, laptop or ipad.

This has been happening since the forum switch last year, but hasn't really bothered me a great deal until now, as I've started using multiple computers more often.

This isn't our end, it's done this since day 1 of the forum switch.
It may be purposely enabled for security reasons however.

Yeah, but some people obviously don't have the issue.
What are they doing differently?

None of the mod team seem to have it - I know Josh used to (pretty sure he doesn't anymore, but not 100%.

its supposed to be that way, if you want a way around it you'll need to clone a cookie. The only way I can think to get around it is somehow syncing your cookies between devices. But it should, by default, log in out when you log in somewhere else. The setting might be buried in the user settings somewhere.

I have the same thing, but it's just a case of re-logging in.
