tbh most of us use mayhems as it's tried and test by system integrators all over the world.

i know jayztwocents had an issues with a very early sample
 
I would not use any of this crap.

I did plenty of research and apparently Mayhem's Pastel is bomb proof. Sadly that has proven not to be the case. I am going to flush it, and depending on the loop (if it is stained) I am going to replace it with EC6. It is the only coolant I have used that goes the distance.
 
Another thing to keep in mind with coolants is heat load these days. With the advent of more cores on CPUs, there's a lot more heat being generated than back in the quad core days. Heck, I'm still using distilled water + dyes / additives, but I'm into pastels. I much prefer see-through coolant. This "show" stuff is not for me.

2100mhz Titan X soon schooled Pastel tbh. It was fine before on a single rad. Now? it's been cooked. And every time I have a 5 hour session on Wildlands it just gets darker and darker.

Got a very hectic weekend coming up now. I have to transport Dianoga to its new home, along with the Apple Cinema display.. Oh, and the Steelcase chair. However, once the business is done I will have two homes where I can game seriously.. Any way, yeah, next week I have to flush and refill my rig, now that I can actually get to it lol.

And I am using EC6. No more messing around.
 
Terminator: it's worth watching the Jayz2cents video about his issues. He doesn't throw Primochill under the bus, and makes a laundry list of really good points (eg Primochill can't control what metals are used in rads, fittings, the effect of greater heat generation in 16 core processors, etc). I usually don't recommend Jay's videos, but that's a good one.

Short story: if I really wanted funky fluid, I would try it. But I would do a THOROUGH cleaning of the entire system first (ie Blitz kit). Jay also mentioned he did NOT do that with the affected rig, so it's entirely possible that the Vue fluid would have been fine if the system had a thorough cleaning first.
 
Any coolant with anything insoluble is going to cause you problems, end of. Eventually it will separate and you will clog something. It doesn't matter how fine the material is, either.

I'm sticking to what works. I didn't water cool for the looks, more the massive performance I can get out of it.
 
If you are planing on disassembling, and cleaning the loop every 6 months there is no reason not to go for it. You can get away with some Bitz Kit or PrimoChill System Reboot, but you would still need to do it ever 6 months or so. Nano fluids can push it over a year. But guess what? Cleaning then too. It all depends on your components, and temperatures in your system. It can bee good for 2 years, or it can change color in 3 months. As i have said, if you don't mind cleaning when it requires it (in 3, 6, 12 months) there is no reason not to go for it. That is the tradeoff with fancy liquid. If you want a hustle free system go for clear fluid. Simple as that.

cores on idle are at 29 30 ish
go into the 70 s when run occt
and my graphics cards just touch 40
just thought to make it look more appealling
 
The last I heard Primochill have said the vue is meant for display purposes only so about 8 hours running time max

Also I tried Cryfuel from EK. It has reacted with my BP fittings and removed the deluxe white paint so clogged the system.

Going to go back to using Mayhems pastel. Never had an issue with that, didn't even need to replace it at all. Was using pastel mint green for 2 years.

Vue has a HIGH attraction to dyes. It's possible that Vue may leach old dyes out of components that had previous dyed coolants ran through them (radiators in particular). No amount of flushing with water will remove all previous dyes. This may result in Vue changing color slightly. For best results flush your system with PrimoChill System ReBoot prior to using VUE in existing systems that contained dyed coolant.

Continuous circulating VUE 24/7 will breakdown Vue quickly causing loss in effect as well as possible build up in the system.

Crap, then. In other words just for running everything at idle. As soon as you lean on it it will fall apart.

I'm really against showcase coolants. It's basically like building a PC to showcase the coolant not the other way around. Since you can't really use the PC for any extended period of time.
 
The only way they will ever get it to work in any sort of way is with something I saw a few years ago when buying mouthwash of all things..

When allowed to settle one of the liquids rises up to the top. When shaken it mixes in tiny little balls. Obviously the two liquids in it have different physical attributes and viscosity but they are both liquids and not filled with anything.

That IMO is how this needs to be done. Not with crap being put into the coolant.
